Houston Pride 365 Parade postponed as flooding hits

Houston Pride – The 2026 Pride Houston 365 Parade was postponed Saturday after severe weather and flooding conditions, with Pride Houston saying safety must come first while the Pride Houston 365 Festival remains open until 7 PM at Houston City Hall.

Houston’s Pride parade was meant to move through the streets Saturday. Instead, the day was derailed by heavy weather and flooding.

The 2026 Pride Houston 365 Parade was postponed, Pride Houston said in a statement shared on social media. The board of directors described the decision as difficult, made “with heavy hearts” and “out of concern for the safety of our community” as severe weather and flooding conditions took hold.

Pride Houston said the safety of attendees, participants, volunteers, and staff has to come first. It also addressed what people could do right now: the Pride Houston 365 Festival will remain open until 7 PM at Houston City Hall. and the group is welcoming everyone who can safely attend to keep celebrating.

The organization said it is already working to reschedule the parade. In its statement, Pride Houston said it has spoken with the Mayor’s Office and has “strong support from the community and state representatives” while it explores options to move the event.

To narrow down a new date, Pride Houston plans to hold a roundtable discussion with stakeholders to review potential dates between July 19 and October 31.
