Hot Pilates founder Shannon Nadj brings soccer burn

World Cup-inspired – Just as the FIFA World Cup kicks off, Hot Pilates founder Shannon Nadj is rolling out soccer-inspired workouts—designed around agility, balance, endurance, and extra lower-body focus—complete with themed playlists and game-day style tips.

Shannon Nadj wants you to feel like an athlete before you even start the warm-up.

As FIFA World Cup time rolls in. the Hot Pilates founder is giving her celebrity-loved workouts a sporty. team-based makeover with soccer-inspired classes. The studio switch is physical and immediate: stability balls are set up to stand in for soccer balls. and the sessions lean hard into lower-body work—while still keeping the signature full-body burn Hot Pilates regulars know.

“We’re bringing a fun, energetic team atmosphere into the studio,” Nadj says while celebrating the launch of her Bikini Body World Cup Challenge.

What’s built into every class is the “World Cup” mission: challenges that target agility. coordination. balance. and endurance—qualities Nadj links directly to soccer. The aim, she adds, isn’t just to train harder. It’s to celebrate movement and community with a workout that feels playful and engaging.

That extra attention on legs is part of the promise. Nadj says strong legs are essential for athletic performance, but she also makes clear that no class skips the core.

“We’ll definitely incorporate lower-body work because strong legs are essential for athletic performance, but every class will include core strength and cardio as well,” she explains.

The soccer influence shows up again in how the training is framed. Power, endurance, balance, and agility are the targets, and participants are meant to leave feeling energized, challenged, and strong—without losing the fun of the World Cup theme.

Music is part of the atmosphere, too. Instructor Laurel Galanter has curated playlists inspired by the global tournament, featuring artists and genres from around the world.

The “game-day” feeling doesn’t stop at the studio floor. Nadj points to what happens when you show up confident.

“When you walk in feeling confident and put together, you tend to carry yourself differently. There’s an energy shift,” she says.

She connects the outfit choice to motivation and mindset—arguing that wearing something that feels strong and comfortable can boost motivation, create a positive mindset, and make movement more enjoyable.

For her own game-day uniform, Nadj keeps it simple but polished: a sleek lululemon set paired with a soccer-inspired jersey, team colors, or sporty accessories—an intentional nod to the World Cup that still stays performance-focused.

She’s also paying it forward through a partnership with lululemon. This month, one aspiring instructor will receive full tuition to the Hot Pilates Mat Training program.

The program, Nadj says, will teach movement fundamentals, anatomy, cueing, class programming, and how to confidently lead and connect with others.
