Here’s where every tall ship docks for Sail Boston 250

Sail Boston released berthing locations for the July 11–16 festival, mapping more than 60 tall ships and military vessels across Charlestown, downtown Boston, and the Seaport area, with public viewing daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On July 11, the parade begins with USS Constitution leading the way—and by the next morning, the harbor will be filled with ships from around the world, all tied up at specific docks across Boston.
Sail Boston has released the full list of berthing locations for the historic tall ships taking part in the maritime festival running July 11 through July 16. After the July 11 Parade of Sail. more than 60 tall ships and military vessels will dock at berths across Charlestown. downtown Boston. and the Seaport area. Organizers say the ships will remain in place for the duration of Sail Boston 250. with a complete list of vessels and assigned berths. along with a map. available at SailBoston.com.
Several of the festival’s marquee vessels will be concentrated in the Seaport District. within walking distance of the Sail Boston Festival at 302 Northern Ave. Among the ships scheduled for temporary berthing there is Italy’s Amerigo Vespucci—often called the pride of the Italian Navy—along with Argentina’s Libertad. one of the largest and fastest tall ships in the world. A temporary berth, “Wharf 8,” will be accessible from the Boston Harborwalk behind the Leader Bank Pavilion. That area is also set to host the Ernestina-Morrissey. the official State Ship of Massachusetts based in New Bedford. along with the Dominican Republic’s Juan Bautista Cambiaso. Nantucket’s Lynx. and Sweden’s HMS Gladen.
At the historic Boston Fish Pier, visitors will find three Class A ships: Germany’s Gorch Fock, India’s Sudarshini, and Portugal’s Sagres. Nearby at the newly refurbished Commonwealth Pier, the fleet’s two largest vessels—Peru’s BAP Unión and Chile’s Esmeralda—will be among the featured attractions.
Charlestown will host 18 vessels, including Romania’s Mircea and Poland’s Dar Młodzieży at Pier 4. The U.S. Coast Guard’s American Eagle is slated to be berthed at Pier 1 behind USS Constitution, which will lead the Parade of Sail.
Along the waterfront, Rowes Wharf—adjacent to the Boston Harbor Hotel—will offer public viewing of the Netherlands’ Oosterschelde and Delaware’s Kalmar Nyckel. At the Moakley Courthouse, nine vessels from the East Coast will dock, including several Massachusetts-based ships.
Fan Pier will host four vessels, including the Mayflower II of Plymouth and Texas-based Elissa. And the gray-hulled USS Arlington will be berthed at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal alongside TS Patriot State, the training ship of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
Public ship viewing will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily from July 12 through July 15. At Boston Fish Pier, viewing and boarding will begin at noon on July 12 and at 2 p.m. on July 13–15. Visitors may board participating vessels during public hours, but only “subject to each captain’s discretion,” Sail Boston officials said.
For July 11, ship viewing and boarding opportunities will depend on individual arrival times and each vessel’s readiness to receive guests. Organizers said most ships are expected to be open for visitation by 5 p.m.
