CSU football players ‘so excited’ to try and win Border War in Week 1

The 2026 Colorado State football team starts with almost everything new, but an old foe.
The Rams play Wyoming on Sept. 5 in the earliest ever Border War.
CSU enters with a new coach (Jim Mora), new roster (75 new players), new league (Pac-12), new uniforms (from Adidas) and more.
Here’s what to know if you’re going to a 2026 CSU football game at Canvas Stadium:
Purchasing tickets and mobile ticketing
Single-game tickets, multi-game passes and season tickets can be purchased at CSURams.com/tickets, by calling 970-491-7267 or via the stadium box office, which opens four hours before kickoff.
All game parking and ticketing for CSU events is digital. Tickets will be scanned via cell phones to enter parking lots and Canvas Stadium.
Fans can manage their account online at CSURams.com/MyAccount. From there, they can log in to access their tickets, transfer them to friends and family, and save them to their phone.
Overnight/game-day parking
Some overnight parking is allowed on campus the day before games. Fans with RVs and oversized vehicles can purchase an overnight pass to begin parking at 5:30 p.m. the night before a game. It is only permitted in the Moby Arena lot and pre-registration is required.
Outside of the overnight parking spaces, lots open six hours before kickoff.
Gate entrance, clear bag policy and metal detectors
All guests entering Canvas Stadium are required to go through bag inspection, including metal detection screening. Under the clear bag policy, bags can be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC, and no larger than 12 inches wide, 6 inches deep and 12 inches high. One-gallon storage bags; small clutch bags; and soft, flexible (no metal) seat cushions are permissible.
Fans are encouraged to enter the stadium early to avoid delays.
Ram Walk, flyover and more
The Ram Walk (where the team walks through fans to the stadium) will start at the corner of University Avenue and Meridian Avenue 2.5 hours before the game.
There will be military vehicles on display during tailgate, a flyover pregame and more.
CSU football game-day timeline
Here’s the timeline for events for the Sept. 5 home game against Wyoming:
- 10 a.m.: Parking lots open, tailgate begins.
- 11 a.m.: CSU team store opens.
- Noon: Ram Walk tailgate begins.
- 1:30 p.m.: CSU team Ram Walk.
- 2:30 p.m.: Canvas Stadium gates open.
- 3:30 p.m.: Fans are encouraged to be in their seats for the pregame show, which will include a flyover and a super (oversized) flag.
- 4 p.m.: Kickoff.
