Giants’ Jaxson Dart Meets Teammates After Trump Rally

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart addressed teammates in a meeting on May 28 after introducing Donald Trump at a rally earlier this month, following public pushback from teammate Abdul Carter.

When the New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced Donald Trump at a rally earlier this month, it didn’t stay in the headlines for long. It moved into the locker room conversation—especially after a teammate made the issue public.

Dart, 23, became a bigger story when Abdul Carter called him out publicly for the appearance. While players are allowed freedom of speech, the situation struck a nerve in a league where politics can quickly turn into a distraction teams would rather avoid.

The fallout had its own history around the same figure. Tom Brady spent years fielding questions and rumors about potential associations with Trump. Trump claimed Brady voted for him, while his wife at the time, Gisele Bündchen, said otherwise.

On Thursday, May 28, that Giants discussion got a concrete update. NFL insider Mike Garafolo posted that Giants QB Jaxson Dart “addressed teammates in a meeting yesterday to discuss his introduction of President Trump last week.” Garafolo also wrote that “other team leaders spoke up as well. and Dart and the players worked through it. ” adding. “They are moving forward.”.

Soon after, another NFL insider, Ian Rapoport, followed with details on who stepped in during the process. Rapoport said Giants leaders such as Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Jameis Winston spoke and worked to put it behind them.

Even as the team worked to move on, Dart’s social media activity kept adding fuel outside the building. This week, his social media “likes” were tracked. As of the time of the posting, Dart follows Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Kai Trump.

The posts he allegedly liked also drew attention. He was said to have liked a Trump Instagram post from November 1. 2023. where Trump endorsed Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves and described opponents as “radical left maniacs.” Dart was then reportedly linked to a July 2024 Trump post that said “STOP THE MIGRANT INVASION. ” “CARRY OUT THE LARGEST DEPORTATION OPERATION IN AMERICAN HISTORY. ” and “STOP THE MIGRANT CRIME EPIDEMIC.” That same video included claims about cutting funding for schools teaching “critical race theory. ” “radical gender ideology. ” and “inappropriate racial” views.

Dart was also said to have liked a video about Charlie Kirk’s death, which blamed “the radical left.”

The pace of the story—from rally introduction. to public teammate pushback. to a meeting described as a team working through the issue—makes the stakes clear without needing any extra wording. Whether the focus is keeping the roster steady or the backlash playing out online. Dart’s name has remained at the center of a culture clash that refuses to stay contained.

  1. So he introduced Trump and then “worked through it”?? Seems like the team just covered it up instead of actually saying sorry. Like politics is always gonna mess with locker rooms.

  2. I swear I saw somewhere that Brady already proved Trump stuff doesn’t matter… or maybe that’s what people keep saying. But anyway if he’s liking Trump pages then yeah Carter was right to be annoyed. I mean quarterbacks always get away with nonsense.

  3. Sounds like all this started because one guy spoke up and then suddenly it’s a whole league storyline again. Like why are we still doing the Tom Brady / Gisele timeline in 2026? Also “Kai Trump”?? I’m just confused, I thought it was about the Giants meeting not who he follows. If they’re “moving forward” then stop tracking likes like that’s not the same drama lol.
