G Flip Would Head Straight to Vancouver for Cameo

G Flip says another Off Campus season 2 song is “too selfish” for them, but they’re ready for whatever the show’s team asks—up to and including a cameo that would have them heading “straight to Vancouver.”

G Flip doesn’t want to hog the spotlight a second time—but they’re absolutely open to showing up if Off Campus season 2 calls.

Over an appearance on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live with hosts Lauren. Rachel and Mariah Smith. the Australian musician talked through what fans might expect from the Prime Video series. which is based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling book series. Season 1 already gave viewers a major music moment: G Flip’s song “Bed on Fire.”.

When the hosts asked whether G Flip could return in any capacity, they were clear about where the decision sits. “That’s not up to me,” G Flip said. “That’s up to the music supervisors and what they want.”

They also reflected on the impact the moment had for their career, admitting they feel they’ve already received something rare. “But to be honest, I feel like I got my moment. Like, I think it’s so awesome to be blessed and given this opportunity, and it sparked so much in my career.”

G Flip said they’re excited to see new artists get the chance they received. “I’m really excited to see the artists next season who get this opportunity I got. I think it’s too selfish for me to get another song.”

Even so, G Flip isn’t closing the door on being on-screen. When Mariah suggested a cameo instead, G Flip answered immediately: “Oh if they asked me, trust me, I’d be straight to Vancouver.”

The conversation veered toward what that cameo could look like. Mariah pointed to Remi Wolf’s season 1 appearance—where Wolf performed during one of the parties on the show—and suggested G Flip could have a performance moment at Briar U. “Whatever they want. Whatever they want, I’ll do,” G Flip said.

To keep things playful, the hosts pitched potential roles, including “Professor Flip” and a Zamboni driver during a hockey game. G Flip laughed and landed on the idea that sounded most fun. “Yeah, the Zamboni driver. That’d be nice,” they joked.

The chat even touched on what’s happening beyond the series. G Flip recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of Girls Like Girls, the new movie that marks Hayley Kiyoko’s feature directorial debut. And they’re also married to Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause, whom they first married in 2023.

  1. So they won’t do another song but would show up anyway? That’s kinda contradictory. Also Off Campus season 2 better not waste the cameo.

  2. I read that as “Bed on Fire” being too selfish to use again… but maybe I’m wrong? Either way Vancouver sounds like they’re filming in Canada and I’m jealous.

  3. The Zamboni driver thing is killing me, why would that even be in the show 😂. Also Chrishell is married to them? I swear I saw something about that on TikTok and now it’s in the article so it’s gotta be real. Off Campus is based on that Elle Kennedy book right? I never read it but I’m still gonna watch season 2.
