Fun Spot America says its Fayetteville, Georgia location will stop operating on Aug. 2, 2026, with the company calling the decision extremely difficult. The park will remain open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and season passes and gift cards will stay valid through
For decades, families in Fayetteville have packed into Fun Spot America for rides, tickets, and the kind of day that turns into a shared story. But Thursday brought an end date to that routine: the park will close its doors for the final time on Aug. 2, 2026.
Fun Spot America announced that the Fayetteville, Georgia location will cease operations on Aug. 2, 2026, calling it “an extremely difficult decision.” In a statement dated June 25, CEO John Arie Jr. said the company’s Atlanta team “has poured their hearts into serving our guests and creating a place where families could have fun together. ” and he thanked both the team and the Fayetteville community for their support.
“We are proud of the memories created in Atlanta and grateful to everyone who has been part of this chapter of our story,” Arie said.
The park’s last day of operation will be Aug. 2, 2026, and the company said the facility will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Season Passes and gift cards will remain valid at the Atlanta park through that date, the company said. The passes and gift cards will also continue to be honored at Fun Spot America’s Orlando and Kissimmee. Florida locations. The company added that information regarding group events. field trips. and other outstanding reservations will be shared with affected guests in the coming weeks.
Fun Spot America’s two Florida parks will remain open, according to the company.
Orlando’s park opened in 1997 after it grew from a family-owned Fun N Wheels park in the city’s tourist corridor. The Florida locations now feature dozens of attractions across more than 150 acres of land in one of the country’s rollercoaster hotspots.
In Fayetteville, Fun Spot America’s roots run deep. The park opened nearly four decades ago as Dixieland and expanded from a miniature golf course into a theme park. Its first rollercoaster, the Scream’n Eagle, was built in 2007.
The name shifted to Fun Junction USA in 2012, and the park was acquired by Fun Spot America in 2017. ArieForce One—considered one of the best roller coasters in the world by thrill-seeking fans—was introduced in 2023.
The park has been an enduring stop for both locals and tourists, and it was even featured in the Netflix show “Cobra Kai.”
The closure date doesn’t just mark the end of an attraction. It marks the end of a long-running regional gathering point—one the company has framed as a chapter it will close only once, and then move forward from.

Aug 2 2026?? Way far out but still kinda depressing. My kids are gonna be like 12 by then lol.
So are they closing forever or just moving to the Florida ones? Because the article keeps saying passes/gift cards valid at Atlanta?? I’m confused.
I saw this and immediately thought it was a money laundering thing or something, like why else would you shut down a place that’s been there forever. They could’ve just raised prices. The statement about “hearts poured into serving guests” sounds PR-ish to me.
That’s wild, I remember when it was Dixieland and then Fun Junction, and now it’s just gonna be gone. Also does “open 10 to 10” mean the last day they’ll actually be open basically normal hours, or is that like a special schedule? My brother said it was being turned into a mall but who knows.
