When MGM+ released the Season 4 finale of “From” on Sunday, June 28, it didn’t ease up—it pushed harder.
The ending arrived with a startling Fatima reveal: she can transform into one of the monsters. seemingly connected to the birth of Smiley. The shock didn’t stop there. The finale also left the door open on deeper history tied to the Man in Yellow and the Boy in White—details the town’s residents have been chasing all season.
For the actors living with those final images, the season’s emotional pressure was impossible to ignore. Season 4 had already kept the residents racing to find a way out of the nightmare town—one crowded with monsters. shapeshifters. and lifesized dolls. But as answers inched closer. the cost of surviving seemed to rise for everyone. leaving people “on edge” as the finale approached.
The finale’s shape makes the next chapter feel inevitable. In the brief path from revelation to uncertainty. the show effectively resets the stakes: Fatima isn’t just surviving the town anymore—she’s connected to it in a way that reframes everything viewers thought they knew about how the horrors work. At the same time. the unresolved backstories of the Man in Yellow and the Boy in White keep the mythos from settling. which becomes its own kind of tension heading into what comes next.
That forward momentum is now set to carry into the series’ fifth and final season. The new season is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
One season. nine episodes. and the town kept demanding more: the residents dug deeper. hoping escape was possible. but the closer they got to answers. the more the emotional toll of simply making it through grew. The final moments—Fatima’s transformation and the continuing mysteries around the Man in Yellow and the Boy in White—leave the story pointed at 2027. with the town’s rules still not fully explained.
Season 4 episodes leading to the finale were titled: “The Arrival. ” “Fray. ” “Merrily We Go. ” “Of Myths And Monsters. ” “What A Long Strange Trip Its Been. ” “The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter. ” “Best Laid Plans. ” “Heavy Is The Head. ” and “The Calm Before.” The finale itself was titled “If A Tree Falls in The Forest.”.

So Fatima is literally a monster now??? That’s wild. I had no clue.
I’m confused how Smiley’s birth is connected to her “transforming.” Like did I miss an episode or is it just vibes? Also they keep saying Man in Yellow but it’s basically the same thing every season lol.
Wait, I thought the monsters were always separate like… a thing the town had. But now it’s like Fatima becoming one makes it her fault? Kinda messed up if that’s what they’re saying. And the Boy in White still hasn’t done anything helpful, so I’m like why am I watching this 😂
Finally a finale that actually hit, but I hate that it ends on “2027” like cool, cool, cool. I swear I saw someone on TikTok say Man in Yellow is the same as Boy in White which makes no sense but I’m gonna believe it anyway. Fatima turning into a monster feels like the show just ran out of time and chose the scariest option lol.
