Frigibax Dragon Claws into Pokémon GO’s June Community Day

Frigibax June – Pokémon GO’s June 2026 Community Day runs June 20, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., bringing its first Dragon- and Ice-type Pokémon to the event. Frigibax will appear more often in the wild, with Shiny and special-background chances, plus a new charged attack move

For Trainers who’ve spent more than 100 Pokémon GO Community Days chasing one more encounter, June 20, 2026 has a different kind of draw: this will be the first Community Day to feature a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokémon.

From 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Frigibax is set to waddle into the spotlight—and appear more frequently in the wild. If luck is on your side, you may even run into Shiny Frigibax or Frigibax carrying a Special Background.

The event isn’t just about finding one new Pokémon. June 2026’s Community Day also marks the Pokémon GO debut of the Dragon-type Charged Attack Glaive Rush. Trainers who evolve Arctibax (Frigibax’s first evolution) into Baxcalibur up to four hours after the Community Day event concludes will get a Baxcalibur that knows Charged Attack Glaive Rush.

And then there are the bonuses—because missing them doesn’t just mean missing Frigibax. It means missing out on the boost that helps make a Community Day feel like a small windfall.

During the event, Stardust rewards jump to 3× for catching Pokémon. Candy for catching Pokémon increases to 2×. Trainers level 31 and up get a 2× chance to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.

There’s also the way the event bends your usual routine. Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours. Lure Modules last for one hour. and Frigibax will have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active Lure Modules from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Trading gets squeezed in, too. One additional trade can be made for a total of two for the day, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. During that window, trades require 50% less Stardust.

Under your feet, the day has a rhythm: catch, evolve, trade, repeat—until you’re staring at research tasks you can’t ignore.

June Community Day–themed Field Research focuses on catching Frigibax and rewarding Trainers with Stardust, Ultra Balls, additional encounters with Frigibax, and more. Some Field Research rewards may include encounters with Frigibax with a Special Background.

For those who want the deeper run. Community Day Special Research is available for US$1.99 (or the equivalent in your local currency). Completing it earns rewards including three encounters with Frigibax with a Special Background. one Premium Battle Pass. one Rare Candy XL. and additional encounters with Frigibax.

The message is simple, and it lands differently depending on how long you’ve been playing: June 2026 isn’t asking you to just show up for an hour—it’s building a full day of chances, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., around a single dragon clawing its way into the wild.

  1. Wait so is Frigibax in the wild June 20 from 2 to 5 only or like… longer? The article says waddle into spotlight and then also 2 to 9 with lures so I’m confused lol

  2. So if you evolve Arctibax later you get the attack move? I read it wrong maybe but isn’t that just cheating the game timer? People are gonna grind this for dust anyway, 3x stardust

  3. I don’t even play like that, but Community Days always feel rigged. Like why do they always say “special background chances” but never tell you the actual odds… and level 31 candy xl like only the no-lifers get it
