Francois Arnaud and Camilla Belle hadn’t shared a set in more than a decade, but on Sunday night, May 31, they were back together in Los Angeles for a cause that hits close to home.
The actors reunited while attending the MPTF NextGen Summer Party on Sunday night (May 31) at The Aster. Camilla Belle is one of the board members for MPTF NextGen, and Francois Arnaud was on the party’s Host Committee this year.
MPTF supports working and retired members of the entertainment community with a safety net of health and social services. That includes temporary financial assistance, case management, and residential living. The organization’s help spans from childcare to living and aging well with dignity and purpose—guiding the industry workforce through the obstacles life can throw at anyone.
Their connection goes beyond the event. Camilla Belle and Francois Arnaud starred in 2014’s Amapola. In the film, the story is “set against the turbulent backdrop of war. Amapola. a beautiful actress. is magically transported into the future where she glimpses the tragic events that have befallen her and her family. Returning to the present day, she strives to keep her family together, ensure their happiness and find true love.”.
For Francois, the night carried extra momentum. He also attended the Peabody Awards, where he accepted Heated Rivalry‘s award.
Photos from the MPTF event captured the reunion as both actors stepped into roles that go beyond the spotlight—showing up for the people who keep the entertainment industry moving, long after the curtains fall.

Who cares, it’s just a party.
Wait so they hadn’t worked together in 12 years and now they’re just like… back? Kinda wild. Also MPTF helping entertainment workers sounds good, but I’m confused why it needs a “NextGen” thing.
Amapola is that time travel war movie right? So they reunited for the Motion Picture & Television Fund but the article is acting like that’s connected to the movie plot?? Like is that why they met, or is it just PR because Peabody Awards were happening too.
I don’t get it—Francois Arnaud accepted an award for Heated Rivalry at the Peabody Awards and then went to The Aster for MPTF? Sounds like celebrities always show up for “causes” and then go right back to living their best life. Still, I guess if it helps people with housing and childcare that’s better than nothing.
