Fran Drescher brings gay ex-husband Peter to Berlin

Fran Drescher brought her “gay ex-husband” Peter Marc Jacobson as her plus-one to the New York City Ballet 2026 Spring Gala, then spoke about traveling with him and hinted at new work in Europe after posting that she’s in Berlin shooting.

Fran Drescher didn’t travel light when she stepped into the spotlight for the New York City Ballet 2026 Spring Gala.

At the May 7 event. the actress and writer brought her “gay ex-husband. ” Peter Marc Jacobson. along as her plus-one—and while speaking about their recent trip to Europe. she made it clear their bond isn’t exactly what people might expect from a divorced couple.. “He’s my gay ex-husband.. He’s my best friend, and he’s always around.. But we try and make sure that he’s not too much of a c***block,” Drescher told People.

When asked whether Jacobson’s presence actually stops men from approaching her while they travel, Drescher said, “That might have been, but for the most part, everybody knows who he is.”

The closeness is the through-line Drescher keeps returning to, even as she teases what could come next.. Drescher. who co-created The Nanny and Happily Divorced with Jacobson and remained married to him for 21 years. recently posted on Instagram that she might be working with him again—writing. “Yes I’m in Berlin shooting!. More to come on that.. My first time here.. All my friends who have spent time in Berlin said we will love it and we do!. Great restaurants, museums, shopping, city park and hotels.”

  1. I didn’t even know she was shooting in Berlin, thought this was just about the NYCB gala. But “gay ex-husband” like ok sure, best friends or whatever. Also the c***block line is wild.

  2. Wait, so he’s gay and she’s dating him? Or is she still married? The article says divorced and then best friend and then shooting… I’m confused. Like if he’s around does that mean men stop hitting on her or what? I feel like People magazine always leaves out the important part.

  3. Berlin shooting sounds like another show, which makes sense since she co-created with him. But I’m stuck on the part where she says everyone knows who he is, like that’s the whole plan to keep strangers away? Honestly who even cares, let them go to museums. Also “first time here” but then acting like Berlin experts 😂
