I’ve been seeing a few double players but I think that just shows you the frustration [with Colombia’s subs].” Moments later. Oatley said Barton had a cut to the head. “Warren’s got an actual cut to the head. You’re dripping with blood. I’m not joking.”.

“No, I know,” Barton said. “It’s OK. It’s good.” Oatley pressed for more detail—“How much was it?”—and Barton answered, “A full bottle or something? … Whatever it was, I’m OK, Barton said. ”

The match’s broadcast also came as the tournament grows in scale: the 2026 World Cup is the largest ever, with games aired in the United States on Fox and FS1. Matches will also be broadcast in Spanish throughout the entirety of the World Cup on Telemundo and streamed on Peacock.

Colombia’s victory placed the spotlight on both the football and the danger outside the field—first with reports of beer thrown at the commentators after Muñoz’s goal. then with Barton describing being struck by what Oatley said looked like a cup and what Barton suggested could have been “a full bottle or something.”.

  1. People throwing beer then cups/bottles… but also everyone acting like they’re surprised? Azteca always been sketchy. Glad they finished the broadcast though.

  2. Wait he got hit and then he’s talking about Colombia’s subs like that fixed it? Also the article says “double players”?? maybe he means like he saw 2 of them from the concussion lol.

  3. I don’t even watch soccer like that but this is messed up. If it was a cup it could’ve been water not beer but they still keep throwing stuff for no reason. Why would fans be mad at the subs like that?? Also isn’t this the same place where they always cram everyone in?
