Fox News’ Jesse Watters accused of ‘lying’ to his viewers about ‘assignment’ — wife exposes real whereabouts
Fox News host Jesse Watters sparked online chatter after telling viewers he would be away on an “assignment” — only for his wife, Emma Watters, to share a family photo that appeared to show where he was spending his time.
Emma’s Instagram post showed the couple with their children at a LIV Golf event in Bedminster, New Jersey, prompting viewers to question whether Watters’ “assignment” was also a family getaway.
Jesse Watters’ vacation photos raise questions
Emma Watters, 34, posted a photo on Instagram of herself with Jesse and their children.
In the caption read, “LIV,” which indicated that the family attended the Golf event in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The post came after Watters told viewers he would be away from his regular Fox News duties because of an “assignment.”
While no one confirmed that his trip was not work related, the timing of Emma’s post quickly caught the attention of viewers.
Viewers call out Watters for misleading statement
Fans quickly zeroed in on the contradiction and took to Emma’s comments to joke about Watters’ explanation for his absence.
“Jesse, you take more vacations than the Senate,” one user wrote.
Another added, “Jesse you always say your on a big assignment! Why can’t you just say your going on vacation with your family!”
A third joked, “Ahhh now I know why your husband wasnt at work !!! He said it was an assignment.”
Other users appeared less interested in the controversy and instead praised the family and said they were happy to see Watters taking time away from work.
However, The Express reported that some Fox News viewers had also expressed frustration with a recent episode of The Five, with some taking to social media to criticize the show’s panel.
The program’s regular lineup includes Kellyanne Conway, Harold Ford Jr., Watters, Gillian Turner and Greg Gutfeld.
Jesse Watters was under scrutiny for controversial remarks about women
The criticism Watters drew in July for his comments about testosterone and s**ual violence is pale in comparison to the recent fiasco.
While discussing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s proposal to screen service members’ testosterone levels, Watters warned that some men could take testosterone at higher doses.
Watters told other panelists, “Yeah, I want these guys on it. But you know what’s going to happen? The guys that don’t need it are going to take it to triple boost.”
He continued, “And then they’re gonna get out there and women on base; you guys better be careful. Port calls women in Asia, you better be careful because these guys are gonna be wild animals and you better watch out.”
The remarks drew criticism from journalists and others who accused the Fox News host of making light of the possibility of s**ual violence against women.
Throughout his time on the network, the commentator has been infamous for making controversial remarks about female candidates, Democrats and the LGBTQIA+ community that have drawn widespread criticism.
