Fire tears through Bellingham home, two dead

Bellingham two-alarm – A two-alarm fire erupted at a single-family home on Temi Road in Bellingham early Monday, and firefighters later found two adults dead after rescue efforts. The cause remains under investigation by local fire and police departments and State Police fire invest
Early Monday, heavy flames pushed through the roof of a single-family home on Temi Road in Bellingham—fast enough that firefighters described the spread as “rapid.”
The Bellingham Fire Department was called to 15 Temi Road at 12:40 a.m. for a house fire, according to Bellingham Fire Chief William Miller. Miller was the first on scene and reported seeing heavy fire coming through the roof.
Additional firefighting companies arrived and went to work to extinguish the blaze and search for occupants. Firefighters rescued two adults from the home, but they were later pronounced dead. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
No other injuries were reported at the scene.
Miller said the two-alarm fire spread “rapidly” through the single-family home, causing “serious damage.” He added that firefighters stopped the fire before it reached nearby homes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the local fire and police departments and State Police fire investigators.

That’s so sad. Poor people.
Rapid spread through the roof… so was it like electrical or something? They always say “under investigation” but I’m betting faulty wiring. Tragic either way.
Wait two adults were rescued and then pronounced dead? That seems confusing to me like how does that happen so fast. Also Temi Road doesn’t sound like where fires usually happen, so I feel like someone’s messing up inspections or something.
Two-alarm but still one family home right? It says they stopped it from reaching nearby homes, which is good, but the cause is still “under investigation” like it’s gonna take forever. I saw a headline somewhere else that it was an arson thing, but not sure if that’s even true. Either way, those firefighters were probably there at like 12:40am and the damage was serious… just awful.
