Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog additions for June 2026, with Final Fantasy 16 headlining for Extra and Premium. Subscribers in the U.S., UK, and Japan will see the catalog roll out on staggered dates, while everyone else gets the full line

PlayStation Plus subscribers have reason to clear their schedules this June. Sony has announced the Game Catalog additions for June 2026, and the headline isn’t subtle: Square Enix’s blockbuster role-playing game Final Fantasy 16 is set to join PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.

The catch is timing. In the U.S., UK, and Japan, the games will land on a staggered schedule rather than all at once. Sony is trialling that staggered rollout in those regions first. in a move that mirrors the approach used on Xbox Game Pass. Outside of those three countries, all of the games in the catalog will be available starting June 16.

For players who’ve been waiting for more RPG momentum, Final Fantasy 16 is only part of the appeal. It will be joined in the lineup by Kingdom Come: Deliverance, a pairing that shifts the mood from dramatic fantasy to grounded RPG action—no magic or dragons promised.

The rest of the month’s catalog leans into variety. Pearl Abyss’ open-world MMORPG Black Desert is also coming to the service. Sonic X Shadow Generations is on the list for anyone looking for a faster. more action-oriented side of the catalog. while Farming Simulator 25 aims at the calmer end of the gaming day.

Narrative fans get their own draw, too. The young adult adventure series Life is Strange will be offering its penultimate entry. Double Exposure. with Sony positioning it as a story-driven romp with a time-bending plotline. Rounding out the Extra and Premium selection is Blades of Fire. an action-adventure game developed by MercurySteam. the studio behind Castlevania and Metroid Dread.

For PlayStation Plus Premium members. the catalog goes retro in a specific way: Gitaroo-Man. described as a PlayStation 2 rhythm game. is landing on PS4 and PS5 for the first time. It’s the kind of addition that changes what “new this month” feels like—less about chasing the latest releases. more about revisiting something you might have missed years ago.

Black Desert. Farming Simulator 25. and Life is Strange’s Double Exposure all sit alongside Final Fantasy 16 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance in the June 2026 wave. And with the staggered rollout in the U.S. UK. and Japan. it means some players will start playing sooner than others—while everyone else waits for June 16 to unlock the full catalog at once.
