On Sunday night’s Fair City, Kira is disappointed when Mondo proposes a lacklustre celebration for her upcoming birthday. Orla and Melanie encourage Mondo to go all out for Kira considering the tough year with they’ve had. Mondo worries that people would not attend a big party and still resent him after the trial. Juliet insists he should go big for Kira’s birthday and says she’ll fly home as a surprise. An energised Mondo overpromises huge plans for Kira’s party, making Orla and Melanie nervous. Meanwhile,
after she accidentally revealed that Fergal doesn’t live at home to the Councilman, Nikki feels guilty as Jacinta and Fergal remain furious with each other. When Jacinta vows to find out who really reported Fergal, Nikki pleads for Cass’ help to fix things. Cass admits to Fergal that someone may have accidentally snitched on him, but he is thrown when Fergal demands to know who it was. Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Carol questions whether Victor should still be working with JJ now that Babs is an
active Garda. JJ advises Carol to report to Babs when someone continues to dump their rubbish behind The Station. Garda Knowles is dismissive of Carol’s complaint, but Babs persuades him to let her investigate. Babs finds solid evidence in Carol’s fly-tipping case and convinces Knowles to pursue it. Plus, when Max discovers that Dean used to be an MMA fighter, the fitness group worry that more competitiveness could disturb the peace. Dean is flattered when Max looks up his record and comments that Dean seemed
to be the real deal. Dean and Max agree they can be competitive but still work as a team for the Iron Gauntlet race. Fair City airs four nights a week on RTE One and RTE Player.
