Ed Kelce returns to hotel after Travis-Swift wedding

Ed Kelce, 75, watched son Travis marry Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden, with Jason serving as best man and the couple’s granddaughters as flower girls. After midnight, he headed back to his New York hotel, later describing the day as “great.”
In the early hours of Saturday morning, Ed Kelce stepped back through the doors of his New York hotel after spending the night inside Madison Square Garden for Travis Kelce’s wedding to Taylor Swift.
Kelce, 75, was there as the father of the groom, watching as Jason Kelce stood alongside Travis as his best man. The granddaughters were flower girls, throwing petals over Swift as she walked down the aisle.
By the time the clock moved past midnight, the celebrations were still expected to run until around 4am in the middle of Manhattan. Kelce, dressed in a black suit and bow tie, described the day simply as “great” before security ushered him inside.
He arrived with what appeared to be another shirt and a teal blanket in his hands, then headed in and called it a night.
The Kelce patriarch appeared to attend the wedding solo, despite his new romance with Doree Hepner, a 63-year-old widow and singer more than ten years younger than him.
Earlier coverage had also raised the stakes around the Kelce family’s involvement, with The Daily Mail previously reporting that Swift was worried her now father-in-law might leak details of the wedding plans ahead of the ceremony.
Still. the big day seemed to run smoothly. stretching into the early hours with a series of well-known faces coming and going. Ed was not the first to leave: Tom Brady was pictured being driven out of the venue before 10pm. while Travis’s Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid departed shortly before midnight. Hugh Grant, Michael Strahan and Stephen A. Smith were among the other high-profile early departures.
Kelce’s emotions have never been hidden when it comes to Swift and his son. In a February 2024 interview with the LA Times. he said. “Every (Chiefs) game there’s people crowding outside the front of that suite trying to get a glimpse of Taylor. wanting to meet Taylor. Taylor’s very gracious, but she can’t do everything. But if it was up to her she’d be out there with everyone who wants her.”.
Earlier this year, his outsize personality also entered the conversation. In May, an insider told The Daily Mail that “He’s sort of like a loose cannon,” adding, “Nobody knows what he’s going to say, so it’s kind of a controversial situation.”
The timing of Ed Kelce’s exit—after midnight, with Manhattan still in party mode—suggested the wedding’s momentum carried on long after he turned in, but that he was ready to let the night keep moving without him.

So he just like… went back to his hotel after midnight? Wild how normal that is for a celebrity wedding.
Daily Mail already said Swift was worried about him leaking stuff? Honestly I don’t even know if that’s true but people always say the in-law gonna spill secrets. Also “great” like yeah sure.
Wait, are they saying he had a teal blanket at the hotel??? Like was that for the romance with the singer widow or just cold Manhattan air. I can’t follow it. Also they left until 4am like that’s gotta be exhausting.
Tom Brady leaving before 10pm but Taylor’s still doing petals and stuff… makes me think they rushed the whole thing. And the article keeps mentioning security ushering him in which sounds dramatic but maybe it’s just normal. Feels like there’s a bunch of Daily Mail drama mixed with “he said great” and that’s it.
