Dreyer wasn’t just posting for the sake of an outfit. She was on the water asking people how they were celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, turning the iconic harbor into both a work backdrop and a nationwide holiday scene.

Later that day, she brought her three young sons—Calvin, Oliver and Rusty—to watch the city’s iconic fireworks.

The day’s bright images sit against a quieter kind of change in Dreyer’s personal life. She shares her three children with ex-husband Brian Fichera. The pair separated in 2025 after 12 years of marriage, but have remained on good terms.

Last fall, Dreyer and her sons moved out of their New York City apartment to relocate to Upstate New York, where they are currently renting a property.

On her podcast, The Parent Chat, she reflected on the move and how it landed with her youngest. On June 4, Dreyer opened up about the transition, describing a moment involving Rusty, four.

In the clip she shared, Dreyer said, “Smile, it’s our last video here!” as Rustly cried on the floor. She asked him, “Did you like this house?” and he replied, “Yeah.” Dreyer said, “This made me just bawl my eyes out,” watching the video back.

“It was the first time I really looked at the different chapters in my life, and it kind of was all summed up in my kids’ bedroom,” she said, explaining that the apartment had been full of memories—and then became empty after the sale.

“It was just a really special time to look back and reflect on that because we just sold that apartment, and now, it was empty. And that room had seen so much, and now, we were moving on to a new adventure, a new chapter as a family.”

When Dreyer and Fichera announced their separation, it came in July 2025 in a statement from Dreyer. She wrote: “For many years. I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows. the ups and downs. and all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between.” She said she was “incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me through it all. ” and added that “a few months ago. Brian and I made the decision to separate.”.

“We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another,” she continued, concluding: “Thank you as always for your support.”
