Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy didn’t just pack up their family and head east. As their new Florida routine takes shape, they’ve also put their Los Angeles home on the rental market—turning the end of a chapter into something measurable, down to the monthly asking price.
Their former family residence in Valley Village is listed as a 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom house with roughly 4,300 square feet, and it went up for rent about 20 days ago. The asking price is $18K per month.
The home itself is described as Napa-inspired, with a suite of upscale details. The listing highlights herringbone oak floors, solid alder wood doors, oak ceilings, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, custom cherry wood cabinetry—and even a hidden “secret pantry.”
The timing lines up with what Peta and Maks have been sharing publicly since the move. Just days after they revealed they’d relocated their family to Boca Raton. Florida. they posted a YouTube vlog documenting the cross-country transition. In the video, the DWTS alums wipe away tears as moving boxes fill the car and they drive off.
They also reflected on the emotional weight of leaving Los Angeles on Instagram, with Peta admitting that it wasn’t easy to say goodbye.
Since arriving in Florida, Peta has continued to share updates, pointing to the slower pace of life, the warm weather, and the fact that watching their three sons—Shai, Rio, and Milan—have been thriving has made the move feel worth it.
Still, the family’s departure from Los Angeles wasn’t smooth all the way through. In their vlog, Peta revealed that Shai’s bike was stolen while they were preparing to leave. She said she suspected it may have been taken by a young homeless woman they had helped the night before by giving her food and blankets.
