Dutton Ranch Finale Sends Finn Little Into Panic

Finn Little warns viewers to be “very worried” about the Dutton Ranch season 1 finale, joking that it could be “three or four” people—while fellow cast members including Marc Menchaca and Juan Pablo Raba recall their own on-screen death anxiety. Dutton Ranch a

When Finn Little talks about the Dutton Ranch season 1 finale, he doesn’t exactly dial down the dread. Instead, he leans into it—deadpan humor first, then a tease that lands like a warning label.

In a joint interview with Natalie Alyn Lind, Little, 20, joked about offscreen worries as they look ahead to what’s coming. “At least three people — is it three or four people that die in the finale?” he said.

Lind, 26, stayed guarded. “I don’t want to give anything away,” she told Us Weekly before adding with a laugh, “Nobody dies. Everybody dies. .. Oh, wait, they’re all dead.”

The dark comedy fits right into how Dutton Ranch has carried forward the legacy of the Yellowstone universe. Viewers first met the Dutton family in 2018 when Yellowstone launched on Paramount Network. The original series came to an end in 2024. expanding its world with Luke Grimes’ CBS show Marshals and Dutton Ranch. which premiered in May.

One cast member’s relationship with “bye-bye” moments is so familiar that Marc Menchaca can joke about it like a tradition. The actor, 50, weighed in earlier on whether the show’s deadly twists had him worried about his character, Zachariah. “It’s always a possibility — and I have a pretty good track record of saying bye-bye on a show. ” he told Us.

Menchaca made the point even more personal. “My wife [Lena Headey] made a death reel for me for my birthday this last year. It was about 10 minutes and it didn’t even have all my deaths,” he quipped. “So I was a little bit [worried].”

Then came the practical dread that creeps in once the scripts arrive. “I was like. ‘They may take me out so I better get on everybody’s good side.’ Hopefully. it won’t happen but the way things are now. you get these scripts just a little bit before. Then you start going through and you’re like, ‘Is it gonna happen next scene?’ Thankfully it has not [yet].”.

Even Juan Pablo Raba described his worry as immediate and oddly specific. He remembered the moment he saw how things might go for his character. “When I got episode 6 and I opened the page and I see Chet walking to me with a gun. my first thought was. ‘Well. it was nice while it lasted. ‘” he quipped to Us. “I was like, ‘God, it was so short. But why didn’t they call me?. That’s rude.’”.

Raba, too, tried to hold onto hope. “You hope for the best and you hope it’s going to be a long run. But you really don’t know,” he said. “I really hope we can really work this for many seasons because I think there’s so much story to tell.”

For now, the tension stays exactly where the cast wants it: close enough to feel, far enough away to stay unknowable. Dutton Ranch airs Fridays on Paramount+—and with Finn Little asking whether “three or four” people make it out of the finale, the countdown feels a little sharper with every laugh.

  1. I hate when actors say “very worried” like that and then everyone’s like “nobody dies.” Then they immediately say everybody’s dead?? Like which one is it lol. Also Finn Little looks way too young to be panic talking about finales.

  2. Marc Menchaca making jokes about “bye-bye” sounds like he’s planning to leave the show in real life too. My cousin said this is the part where they swap characters or whatever. Don’t they usually kill off the guy who’s running his mouth? I didn’t even finish Yellowstone so I’m confused.

  3. I’m sorry but if it’s “3 or 4 people” dying then that’s literally half the cast, right? And they’re teasing it like a warning label, nah. Lena Headey “death reel” for his birthday is wild though, like that’s so dark. Anyway I’m not watching if it’s that depressing.
