Dolly Parton’s next big stop won’t be in a theme park—it will be on the highway.

The country music icon is launching a Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee, scheduled to open on June 24. The site sits about 60 miles south of Nashville off Interstate 65 at Exit 22. and it’s being pitched as something more than a quick roadside pit stop: dining. exclusive merchandise. coffee from Dolly’s Cup of Ambition. and a venue built for music.

For travelers, the promise is comfort paired with familiar road-trip comforts. An online statement says the space is “built on the belief that every traveler deserves comfort, good food, and a genuine welcome.”

Beyond the fuel pumps, the travel stop is designed to keep people there a little longer. Visitors will be able to relax. browse exclusive merchandise. and choose from dining options that include barbecue from DLY BBQ. fresh coffee. and a full-service sit-down restaurant. The location will also feature a custom mural honoring Cornersville and a replica tour bus inspired by Parton’s own.

Parton’s involvement ties directly to the way she’s lived on the road for decades. In a news release. she said. “I have spent the bulk of my life on the road. and more specifically on a bus. All the years spent visiting greasy spoon cafes. truck stops and roadside pit stops have given me an understanding of what travelers desire on the road.”.

The commercial details aren’t finished yet, but the broader plan is clear: modern amenities, curated dining, and regional retail offerings. The travel stop logo incorporates Parton’s silhouette with a nod to traditional truck mud flap designs.

The space is also shaped for specific travelers in mind. The list of features includes fuel stations for both cars and trucks. parking for trucks. EV charging stations. and a trucker’s lounge. There’s also a general store. restrooms. a restaurant and cafe. Cup of Ambition Coffee. DLY BBQ. a main stage. a Murak-Tour Bus. a Back Patio. and upstairs lounge and event space. Even the pet-friendly side is planned, with a Doggy Parton dog park.

The partnership behind the project was announced Nov. 17, and Cornersville is set to serve as the brand’s flagship. The Knoxville News Sentinel, part of the USA TODAY Network, previously reported on the partnership.

The opening itself is expected to arrive with a celebration. The Tennessean Travel Stop is set to open June 24 with a “large-scale celebration,” and the public is invited. A week of celebratory events is scheduled to kick off July 4. and additional details on the grand opening festivities will be released later.

Live entertainment is part of the pitch from day one. Along with space to relax, recharge, and shop, the Cornersville location will include live music.
