Disney $50 – A $50 million class action settlement involving Disney and streaming live pay TV pricing could send cash payments to eligible YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream subscribers. The filing deadline is Sept. 8, 2026, and payments depend on where you lived during the cla

The question most subscribers are asking right now isn’t whether Disney agreed to a settlement. It’s whether they actually qualify—and how long they have to file before the opportunity closes.

The Walt Disney Co. agreed to pay $50 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it violated federal and state antitrust and consumer protection laws by engaging in conduct that raised the prices of streaming live pay television services. The plaintiffs claimed those actions caused financial harm to subscribers.

Under the settlement terms, consumers who purchased a YouTube TV or DirecTV Stream subscription at any time from April 1, 2019, through March 31, 2026 may be able to submit a claim for a cash payment.

Class members can claim for YouTube TV or DirecTV Stream if they purchased either service during the class period. That includes DirecTV Stream, DirecTV Now and AT&T TV Now for the DirecTV Stream portion of the settlement.

Eligibility turns on two things: what you subscribed to, and where you lived during the class period.

Class members are individuals, business association, entity or corporation who meet one or more of the following criteria:

They purchased a YouTube TV subscription between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026.

They purchased a DirecTV streaming live pay TV subscription—including DirecTV Stream, DirecTV Now and AT&T TV Now—between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026.

If a class member paid for both YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream during the class period, they can claim both subscriptions.

The settlement divides claimants into two categories based on where they lived between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026:

Repealer jurisdictions include class members who lived in any of the following states or territories at any time during the class period: Alabama. Arizona. Arkansas. California. Colorado. Connecticut. Delaware. District of Columbia. Florida. Guam. Hawaii. Iowa. Kansas. Maine. Maryland. Massachusetts. Michigan. Minnesota. Mississippi. Missouri. Montana. Nebraska. Nevada. New Hampshire. New Jersey. New Mexico. New York. North Carolina. North Dakota. Oregon. Puerto Rico. Rhode Island. South Carolina. South Dakota. Tennessee. Utah. Vermont. West Virginia. and Wisconsin.

Non-repealer jurisdictions include class members who lived in any other state or U.S. territory not listed above during the class period.

How much the settlement could pay

Payments differ depending on which group you fall into, and the settlement administrator ultimately determines the final amount based on how many subscriptions are claimed and the length of each subscription during the class period.

Class members in repealer jurisdictions can submit a claim for a pro rata cash payment from 90% of the net settlement fund.

Class members in non-repealer jurisdictions can submit a claim for a pro rata cash payment from 10% of the net settlement fund.

A key detail in the process is that the administrator will determine the final payment amount by the number of subscriptions claimed and the length of each subscription during the class period, not by a flat payout.

To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form to complete and mail to the settlement administrator.
