Even as the top spots were settled, the tournament’s final list reflected how unforgiving En-Joie was under weekend conditions. John Daly finished at 208—8 under—at 73-63-72 for $19,580, while Steve Stricker ended at 208—8 under—at 69-71-68 for $19,580.
At the lower end of the payout standings, Kris Triplett and others finished with matching totals higher than par: Notah Begay at 217 (+1) after 71-73-73 for $3,960, Shane Bertsch at 217 (+1) after 72-72-73 for $3,960, and Kirk Triplett at 217 (+1) after 71-72-74 for $3,960.
By the end of it, the winner’s margin wasn’t just in the score—it was in the sudden, decisive moment of the playoff. Pride’s 18-under total, capped by that first playoff hole, sent him home with the largest check in a tournament with a $2.2 million purse.

wait so was this a real thing or just like a sponsored name? DICK’S Open Par sounds sus lol
So he won because his putter “made the last hole feel inevitable”?? I mean yeah golf is basically luck and vibes anyway. Congrats to Dicky Pride I guess, 18 under is wild.
I’m confused though, why does the article say Dicky Pride’s name like that? Also doesn’t a playoff mean someone else should’ve won too? Like if Harrington tied, shouldn’t he automatically get the money? Sounds like a rigged ending or I’m missing something.
18 under par at En-Joie and a 2.2 million purse… those numbers feel fake. Also why are some guys getting $0?? That’s crazy. I saw John Daly at 8 under too, so like was the course tough or just everyone was good and then choked on Sunday? Either way playoff hole wins are always dramatic I guess.
