Dianna Russini appeared to be turning the page on a brutal few months—while another public moment tied to Mike Vrabel kept simmering online.

Over the Fourth of July weekend. Russini was spotted on vacation with her husband. Kevin Goldschmidt. and their two young sons. The former NFL reporter was seen enjoying a luxury cruise with the family aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas for a week-long trip that included stops in Florida and the Bahamas.

An eyewitness described the couple as “highly affectionate” during the getaway. saying Russini “blew her husband a kiss at one point across the pool.” The same observer added that they “seemed to be engaged with one another” and were “very family oriented with their kids.” The family. the eyewitness said. took the children to the Splash Pad together and spent time laughing by the pool.

Video footage later captured Russini—wearing a green one-piece swimsuit—dancing to Katy Perry’s “Firework” while holding one of her children.

The cruise comes only months after Russini found herself at the center of a major media firestorm involving New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. Jen. as they boarded a chauffeured SUV.

That awkward moment was captured as Vrabel and Jen left their midtown Manhattan hotel for Friday’s ceremony at Madison Square Garden. Vrabel, 50, was wearing a black suit and tie, while Jen—his college sweetheart from his days at Ohio State—appeared in a blue chiffon gown.

Unlike Kelce, who is known for making a point of holding doors for Swift, Vrabel let hotel staff handle the gesture while he moved ahead of her into the waiting vehicle. Fans reacted quickly, with sharp criticism landing online.

Sports producer and former New York Post staffer Sarah McCroy wrote on X: “Literally the worst guys I’ve dated have at least opened the car door for me.” Another critic added: “Let your wife get in first. ‘You get in last and then you get out first to help her out. Russini’s own controversy has been even more direct. She left her job as an NFL reporter after intimate pictures emerged of her and Vrabel. The couple’s public scrutiny traces back to March. when the New York Post published suggestive photos of Vrabel fraternizing with Russini at a $2. 500-a-night. adults-only retreat in Arizona.

Russini denied wrongdoing and said she stood by her reporting on Vrabel. Even so, she was placed on leave at The Athletic and later submitted her resignation to the website’s parent company, The New York Times.

The Post later published photos purportedly showing Vrabel and Russini kissing at a bar in Manhattan in March 2020. Russini married Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt in September 2020, and has since given birth to their two sons.

Further images were also shared later by the Daily Mail, including photos of Vrabel and a pregnant Russini renting a boat on a Tennessee lake in 2021, a period when he was coaching the Titans and she was reporting on the team for ESPN.

Before the first round of the April NFL Draft, Vrabel stopped short of confessing to an affair. He did. however. admit to causing “a distraction to the people that I care most about. my family. this football team. the organization and our fans.” He also missed the third day of the draft to attend a family counseling session.

While the Vrabel story has continued to spill into public view, Russini has faced additional backlash closer to the start of this year. She came under fire after toe-curling footage showed her name-dropping an NFL coach to avoid punishment after being pulled over by cops.

The tension for fans now sits in two parallel images: Russini, seen dancing and spending time with her family during a Bahamas cruise; and Vrabel, caught on camera failing to hold a door for Jen at the Swift-Kelce wedding weekend—an moment that drew immediate, personal backlash on social media.
