Does the US Open have a late-night scheduling problem?
US Open matches are running late, with some finishing after 2 a.m. We asked fans if the schedule is too late or if they love the late-night tennis.
The 2026 US Open marches on with the third round on Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
Coco Gauff’s journey continues on Day 7 of the tournament against Cristina Bucsa at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The No. 4 seed is seeking to reclaim her title after winning her first major at the 2023 US Open.
Fellow American Madison Keys will play Zheng Qinwen, while two-time US Open winner Naomi Osaka faces Elise Mertens at Louis Armstrong Stadium.
On the men’s side, Taylor Fritz starts the day off against Francisco Cerundolo. No. 1 seed Alexander Zverev takes on Alejandro Tabilo later in the day. Both matches are at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Both the women’s and men’s defending champions, Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz, are still in the tournament. They are off on Saturday and will resume play on Sunday.
