Millie Bobby Brown was the notable absence. She did not attend either of Thursday’s events.

Stranger Things, which premiered in 2016, is set in a fictional town where supernatural events unfold, sparking mystery and mayhem. The hit Netflix series became a pop-culture phenomenon even as it stayed known for long gaps between filming and lengthy episode runtimes. Season 5 ended nearly a decade after the show first launched.

The reunions come against a backdrop of off-screen tension. In November 2025. reports claimed Brown. 22. had “filed a harassment and bullying claim” against Harbour “before they started shooting the last season.” The reporting said Brown alleged she was bullied and harassed by Harbour on set. and that the complaint did not include allegations of sexual misconduct.

Brown and Harbour later appeared to project unity at the Stranger Things season 5 premiere later that month. “Of course I felt safe. I mean, we’ve worked together for 10 years,” Brown told Deadline at the time. “I feel safe with everyone on that set.”

She added: “You naturally just … you know, you’ve been doing it for so long. We also play father and daughter so naturally. we have a closer bond than the rest because we have had some really intense scenes together. especially in season 2. David and I have a great relationship. We work really closely together in the scenes and preparing for the scenes and I really am excited to see … for everyone to see the labor of love and hard work we’ve put into the closure of our relationship and what that looks like.”.

Harbour. who reportedly had not addressed the harassment and bullying claims. was dealing with other personal scrutiny during the same period. The actor has been going through a messy. high-profile split from wife Lily Allen. and it was reported that he had multiple instances of concerning behavior in public around the same time. He then skipped several planned appearances and dropped out of a starring role in the movie Behemoth!.

When Harbour did speak about his personal life, he framed his approach as one of avoiding sensationalism. In April 2025, he told GQ Hype, “I’m protective of the people and the reality of my life. There’s no use in that form of engaging [with rumors] because it’s all based on hysterical hyperbole. ” adding that he did not want to encourage a “salacious s***show of humiliation.”.

That history hangs over Thursday’s visible show of togetherness: Harbour back at major Stranger Things-related events with multiple co-stars, while Brown remained away.
