FIFA parking prices hit $300 for World Cup games

At the “New York New Jersey” venue in East Rutherford, N.J., parking cost $225 and is almost a mile away. But the biggest price tag that you will find is in Los Angeles, where parking for the match between the U.S. and Paraguay can be found for $300 and is located 2.7 km away. How tickets still available and are they expensive? The marked-up prices for parking comes after soccer fans already have been upset with the cost of tickets for World Cup games. As

of Friday morning, several hundred tickets remained for Canada’s opening match. Prices haven’t dropped on FIFA’s official ticket sales portal, either. Category 1 tickets remain priced at $3,135 each, with many full rows of seats available in sections. Category 2 seats cost $2,300 and the Category 3 “cheap seats” are listed at $1,370. Should I just take public transit to Toronto games? Fans looking to avoid the extra headaches of traffic and parking on matchday got some good news earlier this month. Metrolinx says it

will increase GO Transit train service on the Lakeshore West line during FIFA World Cup matches as a surge of riders is expected to attend the soccer tournament.
