For millions of Americans tracking their cycles on their phones, the next “check-in” is now lining grocery shelves. In September 2025. a California start-up launched a beverage line aimed at menstrual cycles and menopause. and the company says it has since moved beyond its initial rollout into stores across the United States.

The Cycle. which describes itself as the world’s first ready-to-drink beverage brand made for periods. perimenopause and menopause. says its products are now carried at Sprouts Farmers Market’s 410 stores nationwide. The company also lists availability at smaller chains and independent stores. including Lazy Acres. Rainbow Acres and Happier Grocery in New York City. Consumers can additionally buy the drinks directly on the company’s website.

The brand sells four phase-specific beverages: Pre-Period Comfort and Period Comfort, along with the menopause drinks Peri Comfort and Meno Comfort. Each 12-ounce can is priced from $4.99 to $5.99.

Sea buckthorn sits at the center of The Cycle’s formula. with the company saying each drink has a base of sea buckthorn. a natural source of omega-7. The plant—described as a large. thorny shrub or small tree with bright orange edible berries and silvery-green leaves—is also described by the Montana Fruit Tree Company as famous for having the highest natural concentration of omega-7. citing a 2019 study from Spanish researchers.

The company says the drinks are non-sparkling, caffeine-free, zero-sugar, and contain no artificial colors, sweeteners or preservatives.

Pre-Period Comfort is positioned for the luteal phase, “the two weeks before your period,” with a softly sweet, fruit-forward blend that the company says includes chaste berry, cramp bark, shatavari root, dandelion root and ginger.

Period Comfort is designed for menstruation, described as a bright, tropical blend meant to feel “grounding and nourishing,” with nettle leaf (said by the company to contain naturally occurring iron), raspberry leaf, lemon balm and motherwort.

Peri Comfort is offered as daily support during perimenopause, featuring black cohosh, maca root, motherwort, inositol and nettle leaf.

Meno Comfort is marketed as an everyday ritual for menopause, with sage, hops flower, lemon balm, turmeric and glycine.

Dr. Cassandra Simmons. chief of general obstetrics and gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. said in an emailed statement that emerging data support the use of safe supplements during the premenstrual phase. pregnancy. postpartum and perimenopause. She said omega-7s are extremely beneficial and can help balance hormones, while vitamin C has similar effects.

Simmons also tied some of the brand’s ingredients to potential benefits. She said shatavari root and dandelion root—both present in the brand’s pre-period comfort drink—have beneficial properties. She added that about 600 to 800 milligrams of shatavari root per day can be used to improve hormonal balance. and that similar doses can help manage menopausal symptoms. including hot flashes or night sweats. For people dealing with constipation or bloating during hormonal transitions, Simmons said dandelion root can help.

At the center of The Cycle’s pitch is a clear mindset shift. Founder Anastasia Sarta told USA TODAY, “We don’t drink drinks for pleasure anymore. We expect some functionality.”

That statement lands in a market increasingly focused on targeted wellness products, where the claim is not just that a beverage tastes good, but that it is meant to map to the body’s changing phases—pre-period through perimenopause and menopause.

For consumers, the reach of the product line is now hard to miss: 410 Sprouts locations nationwide, plus additional retailers including Lazy Acres, Rainbow Acres and Happier Grocery in New York City, alongside direct orders through the company’s website.
