Coffee makers sold on Amazon and Walmart recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the issue stems from the machines becoming clogged. allowing hot liquid or steam to build up and then release suddenly.

The recall, announced June 11, follows reports of at least 27 injuries that required medical treatment, including first- and second-degree burns.

The recalled machines are Kidisle-branded hot and iced coffee machines, model KC101B. The single-serve coffeemakers were sold in black, white and gray and are about 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Each machine includes a 50-ounce detachable water tank and can brew between 6 and 14 ounces of coffee using either coffee grounds or coffee pods.

Consumers can identify the affected product by finding model number “KC101B” on a sticker attached to the bottom of the machine. The Kidisle brand name also appears on the product order receipt.

The CPSC said it is aware of at least 107 reports of the coffeemakers unexpectedly releasing hot liquid or steam. Those incidents resulted in at least 27 injuries, and the burns were severe enough to require medical attention.

The recalled machines were sold online through Amazon.com, Walmart.com and eBay.com. They were available from June 2024 through April 2026 for about $49, according to the recall report.

The next step matters for anyone who still has one of these machines at home. Consumers should stop using the recalled coffeemakers immediately.

To receive a full refund. Kidisle is asking customers to destroy the product by unplugging it and cutting the power cord.
