Chris Rea’s Rare Porsche 911 Fetches Near Six Figures

SINGER Chris Rea’s Porsche 911 — with just 1,242 miles on the clock — has been bought for £96,750. The Driving Home for Christmas hitmaker, who died aged 74 last December, had bought the Carrera GTS, with a top speed of 193mph, in 2023. The grey 2022 supercar still has his name on the touch screen. Iconic Auctioneers said: “Today the odometer records a scarcely believable 1,258 miles. “It places this example firmly in the upper echelon of collectability for the 992-generation GTS. “Such minimal
use, combined with its provenance, elevates it beyond mere transport into the realm of investment-grade desirability.” The final price paid of £96,750, included an auctioneer’s premium. It was offered for sale by his family at the auction during Supercar Fest at Sywell Aerodrome, Northants. They also put up a 1972 Fiat 500 EV, with 42,241 miles on the clock The Fiat, converted to electric power in 2023, went for £23,625.
