Chalamet’s Knicks Celebration Turns MSG Workers Into Meme

Chalamet’s Knicks – Timothée Chalamet—courtside at Madison Square Garden with Kylie Jenner—celebrated the Knicks’ Game Four win of the NBA Finals in a “quirky” burst that a Knicks fan captured on video. From yelling “YEAAA!” and counting to five with exaggerated knee-bends to jum

Madison Square Garden had barely settled after the Knicks win in Game Four of the NBA Finals when Timothée Chalamet decided to make the moment last—right in front of the workers he ran up to, and courtside companion Kylie Jenner.

Chalamet, a Knicks superfan who’d been seen sitting with Jenner during the team’s run, showed up to celebrate in the kind of way that doesn’t fade quietly. A fellow Knicks fan, Steph Ridz, filmed the encounter in a video that spread for its sheer, unrehearsed energy.

In the clip, Chalamet and Jenner approach the MSG workers. Chalamet stops in front of them and yells, “YEAAA!” The hype doesn’t stop there. He then counts to five with his hands while bending his knees in an exaggerated way that viewers couldn’t help but react to.

Next comes the part that pushed the moment from fandom to spectacle: he jumps into the crowd in a whimsical burst—hugging and “dapping up” workers as he goes—then begins stripping before exiting the crowd and returning to Kylie.

The video landed like a punchline for a lot of people. Viewers couldn’t stop laughing at what they were seeing. especially at the way he moved his knees throughout the celebration. But the amusement didn’t come without pushback. Some people framed the behavior as childish. and that split opinion quickly fed a second round of comments—about what it says. or doesn’t say. about him beyond basketball.

Debates also turned to Kylie Jenner as the moment’s silent second half. Some viewers wondered whether she was amused. others whether she was “sick of his antics. ” with talk that her security might be rolling their eyes. Others went further. tossing out the question of whether she got the “ick. ” and even imagining what it could mean if they had children together—an idea that left some people “shook.”.

In the end, the video’s wide reach wasn’t just about the Knicks win itself. It was about the way Chalamet’s celebration forced a roomful of strangers—MSG workers, fans, and Jenner watching from the side—to react in real time. For some, it was harmless joy. For others, it was too much.

Whatever side people landed on, the clip did what viral moments do best: it turned a victory lap into a conversation—and turned a courtside celebration into a story people just couldn’t stop sharing.

  1. MSG workers are just trying to do their jobs and he’s out there acting like a toddler. Like… yells and jumps into the crowd? I don’t get how people think that’s “quirky.”

  2. I swear this is why people are always mad at celebrities. First they’re “superfan,” then they’re grabbing strangers, then someone says Kylie was annoyed?? Next thing you know everybody’s like “sick of his antics” like we’re detectives. Also he was counting to five? that’s what I remember the most for some reason.

  3. Hold up, didn’t he like… strip IN FRONT of workers? I’m confused because the article wording is weird. If he was hugging and dapping up people then fine but the knee-bending thing and then “stripping before exiting” sounds like way more than just celebrating a basketball game. And Kylie “rolling her eyes” like come on y’all can’t know that, but the comments are gonna run with it anyway. Makes me think MSG staff must’ve been like trapped in the meme, which is sad.
