Cassie left the U.S. after $20M Diddy payout

Cassie lives – Cassie says she is living outside the United States after receiving a reported $20 million settlement tied to her legal case involving Sean “Diddy” Combs, and she told the court she does not plan to return to California.
Cassie’s legal papers paint a clean break—one that starts with where she lives now, and ends with where she insists she won’t be headed.
In filings tied to her ongoing dispute with escort Clayton Howard, Cassie disclosed that she resides outside of the United States and made clear she does not intend to move back. The statement appears in a court document filed on May 1.
“I reside outside of the United States. I do not intend to move back to the United States.”
The filing also reiterates her citizenship status. “I am a citizen of the United States. I am not a resident of the State of California.”
Cassie did not name where she is living. But she explained why the shift matters for the rest of the proceedings. She said it would be easier to continue court matters in New York City rather than California, since that’s where her legal team is.
The move comes after what she reportedly received in the wake of her legal filings against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Back in 2025, she was said to have obtained a $20 million settlement after accusing Combs of abuse.
The documents don’t spell out new details about her location. They do, however, underline the immediate reality of her situation: Cassie is asking the court to accept that her life—and her legal path—has shifted beyond U.S. borders and away from California, while she continues the fight in New York.
