Camila Mendes and Nicholas Galitzine turned heads at the Brazilian premiere of their live-action movie “Masters of the Universe” in São Paulo on Sunday, May 24, where they were joined by director Travis Knight.

Camila Mendes and Nicholas Galitzine walked the red carpet in São Paulo with the kind of energy that makes a premiere feel like a homecoming—even when the spotlight is for an entire universe. The duo arrived for the Brazilian premiere of their new live-action film “Masters of the Universe” at Cine Marquise on Sunday (May 24).

They weren’t doing it alone. Director Travis Knight joined them at the event, which also doubled as a major stop on the worldwide press tour leading into the movie’s release on June 5.

For her appearance, Camila stepped out in a silk bra and skirt combo, topped with a sheer cover. Nicholas chose a more tailored look for the Brazilian premiere, wearing a gray suit paired with a pastel yellow top and black loafers.

The day also brought a more personal moment for fans before the premiere itself. Earlier, the co-stars came out to greet people who turned up to see them. Nicholas even leaned into the occasion by wearing a Brazilian Football Confederation jersey with his last name printed on the back.

In between the glitz and the fanfare. the story behind their trip was clear: this is a live-action adaptation of the popular comics. and it’s built around a classic myth with a modern big-screen push. The official synopsis says that in “Masters of the Universe. ” director Travis Knight brings the legendary franchise back to the big screen in an epic live-action adventure. After Prince Adam (Galitzine) and the Sword of Power are separated for 15 years. he returns to Eternia only to find his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world. Adam must team up with Teela (Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba) and embrace his destiny as He-Man—the most powerful man in the universe.

From outfits and fan greetings to the first look at a story fans have carried for years, the São Paulo premiere underscored one thing: the countdown to June 5 is already playing out in full color across the globe.

  1. Camila Mendes looked insane on that red carpet, like wow. I didn’t even know this was a new thing happening until I saw the pics. Also Nicholas in that soccer jersey?? random but kinda perfect.

  2. Wait, isn’t Jared Leto not even in this? I swear I saw some other headline saying he wasn’t part of it, but then this says Skeletor is him. Maybe they’re using voice only or something? Idk, but the plot sounds like a totally different show from what I remember.

  3. Can we talk about how they had a “press tour” in São Paulo but the movie comes out June 5 like… soon?? Feels like they’re rushing it. Also why is it called live-action when it’s from comics, aren’t all comics technically “stories”? I mean I get it’s He-Man, but the outfits alone are making me think it’s gonna be kinda cheesy.
