Terron Armstead said on “The Set” that Jordan will meet with the club to discuss a potential return. The timing adds weight to the moment: Jordan became a free agent in March, and while he has said he wants to return to New Orleans, he has also been open to the idea of playing elsewhere.
The contract talks have picked up momentum. Matthew Paras of nola.com reports that the Saints and Jordan have made progress, after General Manager Mickey Loomis met with Jordan on multiple occasions this offseason.
Jordan’s impact is part of why the conversation matters so much to the Saints. At 36, he recorded 10.5 sacks last season—his first double-digit sack season since 2021. Across 15 seasons, Jordan has 132 sacks.
