Editor’s note: USA TODAY Sports is providing live updates and highlights of Friday’s matchup between the Dallas Wings and Indiana Fever here.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark exited Friday’s matchup against the Dallas Wings right before halftime after appearing to twist her left ankle, but fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis let out a sigh of relief after she returned.

With less than one minute remaining in the second quarter, Clark stepped on the foot of Wings forward Alysha Clark and turned her left ankle. Clark grimaced and struggled to put weight on her left foot. She fought to stay in the possession and immediately limped back to the locker room when play was stopped with 40.4 seconds remaining.

However, the Fever weren’t without Clark long. She was back on the court to start the third quarter.

Clark has a game-high 19 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field and 0-of-4 from the 3-point line. She also has five assists, three rebounds and one steal so far. Ten of her 19 points have come in the third quarter after the injury scare.

Clark was probable heading into Friday’s matchup with a back injury designation, before being upgraded to available.
