Bunnie Xo’s Ex Frankie Lombardo Details Their Split

Francisco “Frankie” Lombardo, Bunnie Xo’s other ex-husband, is speaking candidly about how their relationship began in 2009, turned “really f**king weird,” and later collapsed amid jealousy, family turmoil, and divorce filed in February 2014—before turning int
Francisco “Frankie” Lombardo remembers the moment the night got complicated—long before Bunnie Xo became known to millions as the podcast host tied to Jelly Roll’s world.
He said they first met over MySpace in 2009. and he described how he shared with her then what was going on with his girlfriend at the time. When Bunnie—who was then married to Christopher Gilbert—asked Frankie to meet up for a drink, he agreed. He just didn’t expect her husband to show up too. Frankie recalled that Bunnie then whispered to him, “I want to make out with you.”.
About a week later, Frankie said Bunnie and he moved in together. He insisted there was no cheating on her part. adding that she had been separated from Christopher when they began living together. Even so, the dynamic sounded jarring to him. “It was really f**king weird, man,” he said. “He’s just a normal dude, kind of a weird dude. And they have a little bit of a checkered past. I guess. but I was glad to serve the guy papers. I’ll never forget that.”.
Their quick closeness turned into marriage in Hawaii in February 2010—after the couple “came into a little money.” Frankie described it as genuine. “It was good. I really loved her and I think that we were definitely extremely close. We’re f**king best friends… She was a good wife.”
But the honeymoon didn’t last.
Frankie said Bunnie’s “lifestyle”—her involvement with sugar daddies—became a wedge between them. He told the story in the form of a blunt first conversation: “When I met her. she said to me right out of the gate. ‘I just want to let you know that I have a couple sugar daddies.’ And I was like. ‘What the f**k does that mean?’ I didn’t want to know. but she had a couple sugar daddies that would send her money. She never saw them. They lived out of state. I was super jealous. Wanted her all to myself. There was definitely some arguing and stuff that took place.”.
Then came the move that he says finished the job.
Frankie explained that his parents and siblings moving into their home ruined their marriage “for good.” He said his mother and dad were indicted on RICO conspiracy. bank fraud. wire fraud. and money laundering in 2007. which led to them losing their house. That was the reason, he said, they needed to move in with him and Bunnie.
He described the fallout in stark terms: “Everything came crashing down,” and he said he “hit the lowest point” of his life. “It totally destroyed our relationship, and I think ultimately that had a very big influence on the way things were handled.”
Frankie said he “didn’t want” to get divorced, but they did file a joint petition in February 2014.
Even before that, he said they were trying to have a baby. He described both of them wanting it, and he said they even sought fertility treatments beforehand. “I really wanted a baby with her. She wanted to have a baby,” he said. “I know she had issues in the past of ectopic pregnancies and things like that. Of course I wanted kids with her. I loved her. I thought that there was a way. I was like, ‘You know what?. There has to be a f**king way. We’re going to try everything.’”.
After the divorce, Frankie said they stayed friends—but he admitted it wasn’t easy. “Bunnie was the only girl that broke my heart. ” he said. describing that she left him for another man and that it “f**king destroyed my life in a sense.” He also alleged that the man Bunnie later dated—whom he identified as someone she dated before Jelly Roll—“beat her up. ” calling it “a f**king nightmare.”.
Bunnie has written about an abusive relationship in her memoir. Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic. where she discussed a man she only identified as “Karma.” Frankie added that there’s a chapter he has not read. and he said he chose not to revisit that period. “There’s a chapter which I have not read on this Karma guy and I chose not to read it because it was a time after me. ” he said. “I remember when she came to my house with her eyes swollen shut and very badly hurt. I don’t want to relive that.”.
For Frankie, the story hasn’t softened—if anything, it stays sharp. The same relationship that began with MySpace messages and a late-night whisper about making out. he said. eventually ran into jealousy. family crisis tied to serious indictments. and a divorce filed in February 2014—while the hope of having a baby became one more thing left behind.
