Bunnie Xo pushed back at split rumors during an August 2025 episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, just as Jelly Roll filed for divorce from her in Tennessee in May, with the news confirmed June 15.

In an August 2025 episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast. the 46-year-old took on the idea that her relationship with Jelly Roll looked “troubled” because the two weren’t always seen together. She recalled someone telling her. “They used to always be together. and now you never see them together. ” before responding with a blunt explanation.
“I’m like, ‘Do you guys not know that for the past six months [that] I’ve been trying to make a baby?’” Bunnie said.
Less than a year later, the public narrative around their marriage shifted fast. On Monday, June 15, it was confirmed that Jelly Roll—whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord—filed for divorce from Bunnie—real name Alisa DeFord—in May in Tennessee, after nearly a decade of marriage.
On the same day the divorce filing was confirmed, Bunnie posted a cryptic message on Instagram, writing that she had found her “sparkle” again.
Jelly Roll’s busy 2025 schedule also fed earlier speculation about their relationship. Bunnie had previously said she couldn’t join him for part of his whirlwind summer, when he headlined a European tour with Post Malone and even met Pope Leo XIV during a visit to Vatican City.
At the time, she insisted the reason wasn’t distance or trouble—it was fertility. “My husband has to work to f***ing bring home the bacon,” Bunnie told podcast listeners last August. “Luckily, I get the luxury of working from home. He doesn’t. He has to make appearances. but I literally have been on IVF meds for f***ing six months and going through heartbreak and f***ing so much s***.”.
She added, “That’s why you haven’t seen me [because] mama’s about to pop out. I gotta remind them. I might even do a sexy photoshoot and piss off all the f***ing [haters].”
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo did resume public appearances together earlier this year. They stepped out for a pre-Grammy gala in January, then exchanged PDA on the red carpet of the GRAMMYs in February.
Their relationship story has also played out in their own words. In February. Bunnie opened up in her memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic about how she and Jelly Roll rebuilt their marriage after he cheated several years ago. During an October 2025 appearance on the “Human School” podcast. Jelly Roll described his infidelity as “one of the worst moments of my adulthood.”.
Bunnie also spoke directly to Us about why she was honest with her readers about the “betrayal” she felt. In that same February conversation with Us. she said the affair “isn’t our story. ” even though it’s part of the book. “It’s literally what catapulted us into who we are today and I think that readers [of her memoir] need to definitely consume it. chew on it and think about it. ” she said. “But they also see what we’ve made from that entire situation. It completely changed who we are as humans and how we looked at love.”.
Jelly Roll later told People in February that it was “rough at times” to read the memoir. “We went through a lot of pain and having to go through it together. but reading thewhole book and seeing where it ended at is really touching. ” he added. “I’m just proud of her for telling her story so unapologetically. I mean, she talks about everything fearlessly, from domestic assault to sexual assault. I’m just proud of her. She’s so brave.”.

I don’t get it. If she’s posting “sparkle again” that means things are good, right? But then divorce papers… Maybe she found a new man and that’s why the IVF meds thing?? They always drag fertility out like it’s a storyline. Kinda wild.
