The incident happened Sunday night at Rodeo Tierra Caliente in the Bronx, where a 25-year-old man was riding the bull when he was suddenly tossed “like a rag doll” to the dirt. The footage shows the exact moment he falls and is trampled.
Handlers rushed in to drag the rider away to safety, according to the reporting around the scene. An off-duty paramedic who was watching the event reportedly began giving medical aid on-site. The rider suffered a punctured cheek from the bull’s horn. and the paramedic was able to stop the bleeding using her bare hands.
Police say the rider was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition, though the extent of his injuries was not disclosed. Officers also said the bull was secured at the scene.
