Brighton man charged in 2025 Allston teen killing

The arrest came days after the violence had already taken something permanent from a Brighton family: a 15-year-old boy who was found shot in Allston and died five days later.
Armani Collazos, 26, of Brighton, was arrested Friday on a warrant in the area of 284 N. Beacon St. in Brighton, according to a Boston Police Department press release. Collazos is charged with murder; assault and battery with a firearm; four counts of assault with intent to murder by means of a firearm; carrying a loaded firearm without a license; and carrying a firearm without a license as a second offense.
Court records show Collazos pleaded not guilty during his arraignment and was ordered held without bail.
Police said Collazos is charged in connection with the killing of 15-year-old Phillip Franco, also of Brighton. Franco was found suffering from gunshot wounds outside 7 Pomeroy St. on June 12, 2025, and was taken to a local hospital. Police said he died five days later from his injuries.
On Friday, police also arrested Miranda Bodden, 22, of Allston, at 57 Everett St. Bodden is charged with five counts of accessory after the fact, according to police. Court records show Bodden pleaded not guilty and was released on $2,000 cash bail.
Collazos and Bodden are scheduled to return to court Aug. 8, according to records. Authorities have not released additional details about the relationship between Collazos and Bodden or what investigators believe motivated the shooting.
Attorneys representing Collazos and Bodden did not respond to requests to comment Wednesday evening.
