Brian Geraghty has joined the cast of Matt Ross’ crime thriller ‘Kockroach,’ which is currently shooting in Australia. He joins an ensemble that includes Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, Alec Baldwin, and Rachel Sennott.
The moment Brian Geraghty walked into the next chapter of his career, it came with a clear signal: the stakes are high, the tone is criminal, and the production is already moving.
Geraghty has joined the cast of Matt Ross’ crime thriller Kockroach as it shoots in Australia. He joins an ensemble cast that already includes previously announced Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, Alec Baldwin, and Rachel Sennott.
Kockroach is based on William Lashner’s 2007 novel. The story follows a mysterious outsider who rises through New York’s criminal underworld to become a powerful crime boss. Ross directs the film from a screenplay by Jonathan Ames.
Geraghty’s addition lands on the heels of a busy run on both screen and stage. He was most recently seen in Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ series 1923, opposite Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. He also recently completed a run at the 2025 Williamstown Theatre Festival in Tennessee Williams’ Not About Nightingales. alongside Chris Messina and William Jackson Harper.
On the feature film side, Geraghty is best known for his performance as the bomb-disposal specialist Owen Eldridge in Kathryn Bigelow’s Academy Award-winning The Hurt Locker. He has also appeared opposite Denzel Washington in Robert Zemeckis’ drama Flight.
His additional film credits include the Sundance-premiered Extremely Wicked. Shockingly Evil and Vile opposite Zac Efron.
