Brendan Sorsby Pro Day set for July 10
Brendan Sorsby has tentatively scheduled a Pro Day for July 10 at Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas, as he moves toward the NFL supplemental draft and works through a court filing that has kept him ineligible to play at the collegiate level.
Brendan Sorsby’s next chance to impress NFL talent evaluators is taking shape, with a Pro Day tentatively set for July 10 at Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas.
The schedule comes as his push toward the league’s supplemental draft moves forward. Sorsby’s intent to declare for the supplemental draft was reported as coming on Tuesday night. and the next step is for his lawyers to withdraw the court filing against the NCAA. Doing so would again make him ineligible to play at the collegiate level.
Pete Thamel notes the application for the supplemental draft is likely to become official in the next 24 hours. At the same time, one question hangs over the process: what kind of appetite there will be among the NFL’s 32 teams for Sorsby’s services if he’s ruled eligible for the supplemental draft.
Todd Monken, the Browns head coach, put that uncertainty into plain terms when he said he would not be in favor of adding Sorsby to Cleveland’s quarterbacks room. Monken described Sorsby’s situation as a “slippery slope.”
In New York, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn took a different tone when asked about Sorsby on Tuesday. Glenn said he’s “focused on the guys that we have here now. ” a reminder that even with a Pro Day on the calendar. teams may still be cautious about how they evaluate a player whose eligibility status is tied to legal and NCAA steps.

So July 10 at some high school? That feels kinda random for “NFL evaluators” lol
I don’t get it, is he eligible or not? Like one day he’s stuck, next day he’s doing a pro day… seems like the NCAA makes rules just to be annoying.
Todd Monken said “slippery slope” like yeah bro he doesn’t want the drama. But isn’t this like basically a court thing only? If he withdraws the filing then it’s all good right? (unless it’s not).
The Jets coach saying he’s focused on the guys they have makes me think nobody wants him. Also why is it at Carroll High School, Texas? I feel like NFL teams would do this somewhere bigger. Supplemental draft appetite… sounds like nobody’s biting.
