The first thing you’ll hear at Bonnaroo is the rush—parking traffic building, directions changing, and everyone moving toward the same entrance. Before you leave home for Manchester, Tennessee, you’ll want to get clear on the rules that shape the whole trip.
Bonnaroo 2026 is expected to draw more than 45,000 people and runs from June 11 through June 14.
Day parking starts late morning and doesn’t wait. Festival officials say the day parking lot opens at 11 a.m. each day and closes at 6 a.m. the following day. Vehicles still in the lot at 9 a.m. the day after your pass is valid are subject to tow. There are no in and out privileges for day parking passes. and passes are good for one entry on the day they’re designated for.
If you’re driving in, the festival’s route guidance starts from Nashville on Interstate 24 to Manchester. From Nashville, take Interstate 24 to Manchester, then use Exit 111B for Rt. 55 East toward McMinnville. From Chattanooga, use Exit 111 and turn right onto Rt. 55. Once on Rt. 55. turn right onto Ragsdale Road before Circle K. then right onto New Bushy Branch Road at the Winery and follow signs to day parking.
As you get close to the grounds, the details change again. The festival says to approach the festival at 1560 New Bushy Branch Road and start to follow signs and directions and staff rather than your GPS.
Rideshare and drop-offs have a specific pin. If you choose to use rideshares or get dropped off, use this address—2465 New Bushy Branch Road—to be directed to the East Tollbooth.
On entry, expect a search. Each person, their belongings and their vehicle will be searched upon entry.
Inside campgrounds, the rules are broader—festival organizers say you can bring most kinds of bags. But in Centeroo, the main venue, bag requirements are strict. Small clutch purses and fanny packs must be 6″ x 9″ or smaller. They don’t need to be clear, but they cannot have more than one pocket. Bags larger than 6″ x 9″ must be smaller than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ and be clear.
When it comes to what you bring, Bonnaroo lists both allowances and hard limits. Allowed items include alcohol: two cases of beer per person per car, two boxes of wine per person per car, and 1–1.75 liter of hard liquor per person per car.
For grilling and fuel, there are clear caps. A portable camping grill is permitted, with 40 pounds of charcoal per grill per vehicle. Propane tanks are allowed at 20 pounds or smaller, with only 1 propane tank per grill per vehicle, or two small “Coleman” type tanks per grill per vehicle.
Power is limited too. A generator smaller than 4KW is allowed, with 1 generator per vehicle. No more than 10 gallons of gasoline in an appropriate container per generator per vehicle is permitted.
The permitted “instruments” category is long. covering everyday festival essentials: camping tools. hand tools. factory sealed Naloxone/Narcan kit. empty reusable water bottles. hydration packs. plastic or aluminum water bottles. baby strollers. binoculars. blankets/sheets/towels. frisbees. portable battery packs. personal misting fans. sunscreen. totems less than 7 feet tall.
A separate list lays out what is prohibited. That list includes glass and wooded fires, kegs, weapons, drones, fireworks, illegal substances, and bicycles or any other wheeled transportation. It also bans pets except service animals, glow sticks, box trucks/tractor-trailers, and laser pens or similar focused light devices.
For vending and venue supplies, power tools and gear with gas motors are listed as prohibited. Items prohibited inside the venue include: medicines needing to be inhaled or smoked unless in a prescribed inhaler; aerosol containers including sunscreen and personal beauty products; coolers of any kind; professional video equipment; professional audio equipment; drones; hammocks; inflatables; glass containers; illegal or illicit substances; outside food or beverages of any kind; umbrellas; selfie sticks; large chains or spiked jewelry; carts of any kind; and chairs of any kind.

Festival organizers say box office staff can help with will call orders, wristband assistance or ticket upgrades, or ticket support. Tickets may only be picked up by the original buyer with a government-issued ID.
