Boebert erupts at reporter over Massie ex-girlfriend claims

Boebert erupts – Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., cursed at a Fox News Digital reporter after he pressed her on allegations from a woman identifying herself as Rep. Thomas Massie’s ex-girlfriend. Boebert then declined to discuss the claims further, ended the exchange, and walked

Rep. Lauren Boebert didn’t just cut off the question. She cut it off with an expletive.

The confrontation happened during an interview in which Boebert was speaking about President Donald Trump’s push to unseat Republican incumbents and what that strategy might mean for the party’s agenda. When the reporter shifted to allegations involving Rep. Thomas Massie—claims raised by a woman identifying herself as Massie’s ex-girlfriend—Boebert’s tone changed fast.

“F— you, first of all!” Boebert said to the reporter when he brought up the allegations.

“If you’re gonna bring me into this, like, the sexist stuff is like out of control,” she continued, adding, “So there’s your clickbait that you were looking for.”

After that, Boebert declined to discuss the allegations further and ended the exchange, walking away.

The claims Boebert was asked about were laid out by the former congressional staffer Cynthia West. who previously worked for Rep. Victoria Spartz, R-Ind. West accused Massie of bragging to her about an alleged sexual encounter with Boebert within weeks of his wife’s death. West also accused Massie of offering her $5. 000 to drop a wrongful termination lawsuit she was pursuing against Spartz. who is an ally of Massie.

Those allegations surfaced just a week before Massie lost his House seat in the May 19 Republican primary.

The interview had been moving on a different track before the reporter raised West’s claims. Boebert had been discussing whether Trump’s strategy of backing primary challengers against Republican incumbents is backfiring on the GOP agenda. She pointed to losses in primaries involving “Cassidy. Cornyn. ” saying. “I think most of the folks that have lost their primaries. they were backfiring on the GOP agenda — Cassidy. Cornyn.”.

She also addressed Massie directly, saying, “I mean, obviously Thomas Massie is the only one that I’m a little sad about.”

The reporter later asked about Massie’s announcement that he is filing for re-election in 2028. Many are speculating that Massie could make a 2028 presidential run. since he said he is unsure which position he will be seeking re-election for. In a post on X. Massie wrote. “I haven’t made a final decision about which office to seek. if I run.”.

In response, Boebert shared that she was unsure about Massie’s next move, telling the reporter, “He filed for something. He didn’t specify what and I don’t know if he’s going to move forward with that or not. I don’t know.” She then added, “Hopefully he leaves here and makes some money.”

But as soon as the reporter began asking about the allegations from Massie’s alleged ex-girlfriend, Boebert’s response turned sharply combative. She did not engage with the substance of the claims, and the interview ended with her walking away.

The episode left a clear divide in the room: Boebert was willing to discuss political strategy and Massie’s future as a political figure, but when the focus moved to personal allegations tied to West’s account, she refused to follow.
