Police bodycam footage obtained from the May 22 Nevada incident shows officers responding to Thais Ramone’s alleged domestic battery dispute with her estranged husband, Patrick Mendes—capturing separate interviews, Patrick’s claims and video evidence, Thais’s
For the second time that day, the story moved faster than anyone expected—this time through a police bodycam video. The footage. obtained from the May 22 incident at Patrick Mendes’ home in Nevada. shows officers responding after he reported an alleged domestic violence incident involving “90 Day Fiancé” star Thais Ramone.
The encounter began shortly after Patrick told police that Thais slapped him in the face during a heated argument just days after he served her with divorce papers. In the video, Patrick describes going to Thais’ home so their child could say goodbye before Thais departed for Brazil.
Officers are then shown interviewing both parties separately as they try to piece together what allegedly happened inside the residence. Patrick tells police the argument escalated after Thais became upset about his presence in the home, and he claims she struck him with an open hand.
In earlier information associated with the case, visible marks on Patrick’s face were documented and believed consistent with his account. In the bodycam footage, Patrick is also seen providing video evidence connected to the alleged slap.
Thais’ account is different. In the video, she tells officers that Patrick had been “controlling” during their relationship. She acknowledges the confrontation but maintains that she acted in self-defense.
After speaking with both parties and reviewing what officers described in the circumstances, police determined there was probable cause to arrest Thais for domestic battery. The footage shows officers informing her of the arrest before taking her into custody.
The timing sits at the center of the dispute—Patrick’s claims tied to a specific moment after divorce papers and Thais’ departure for Brazil, followed by the arrest decision after separate interviews and evidence review. The record then shifts again after the case moved forward.
Thais and Patrick’s divorce proceedings remain ongoing.
At the time of the arrest. Thais’ representative told TMZ. “Situations involving relationships and family dynamics are rarely black and white. and she has no interest in escalating negativity publicly.” The representative added. “Anyone who truly knows Thais knows she is a devoted mother. deeply family-oriented. and someone who has always led with heart.”.
A couple of days later, on May 24, the charge was dropped.
