Blakeman Holocaust Smear Sparks Nadler Rebuke

Blakeman camp – Republican New York gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman, endorsed by President Donald Trump, launched an aggressive attack on progressive Democrat Brad Lander after Lander won New York’s 10th district primary. In remarks on Newsmax, Blakeman claimed Lander

When the clip aired, it wasn’t a routine campaign jab—it was a line that immediately hit a nerve. Bruce Blakeman. the Nassau County executive and Republican candidate for governor in New York endorsed by President Donald Trump. went on Newsmax after Brad Lander won the Democratic primary for New York’s 10th district on Tuesday night.

The exchange began with host Bill Spadea asking whether a “socialist sweep” surprised him. Blakeman said he was “shocked,” pointing to family history. “Both my parents were World War II veterans. ” he said. adding that his mother joined the Army and that they “fought to have a better life” for him. his brother. and his three sisters.

From there, Blakeman escalated his criticism of what he called a communist and socialist push through New York politics. He argued that “these communists” want “to make for a worse life for everybody so they can control every aspect of our life. ” and he described them as “anti-American. ” “anti-Semitic. ” “anti-Christian. ” and “anti the values that our parents taught us and our grandparents taught us.” He said those concerns were “one of the reasons why I’m running for governor — to stop them.”.

He also turned to state leadership and the progressive wing. “We need to check on Zohran Mamdani, the commie,” Blakeman said. “We need to get comrade Kathy [Hochul] out, because she is subservient now to Zohran Mamdani and the lunatic left wing of her party.”

Spadea then shifted to Lander directly, playing a clip of Lander’s remarks after his win. Lander said: “It was an honor one year ago to work together to elect him the mayor of New York City. And it’s been thrilling as he has been showing us what it looks like to fight for a New York City everyone can afford. for a place everyone is welcome. and for a city where we don’t compromise on anyone’s humanity. Thank you.”.

Blakeman responded by arguing that his concerns were not shared by all Democrats. “Well, traditional Democrats are not embracing it. And that’s why they are supporting me for governor. ” he claimed. adding that “independent voters. Republicans. of course. traditional Democrats. common-sense Democrats” are not looking to join “this wing of their party.”.

Then. in the sharpest passage of the segment. Blakeman said Lander “is a disgrace.” He called Lander “anti-American” and “anti-Semitic. ” even though “he’s Jewish. ” and went further—“This guy would be a camp guard in a concentration camp if he could.” Blakeman called Lander “a disaster” and “terrible. ” and argued that Lander’s victory in the Democratic primary showed Democrats were “in bad shape. ” urging voters to choose him for governor to “stop the lunatics of their party.”.

Outgoing Rep. Jerry Nadler, a Democrat from New York, responded quickly and forcefully. Nadler said: “I’ve known Brad Lander for years. and he will make an excellent Member of Congress.” He added that “for Bruce Blakeman to invoke the Holocaust to smear a fellow Jewish man is beyond the pale — it is a grotesque desecration of the memory of six million Jews.” Nadler concluded that the comments were “disqualifying” and “show exactly why Bruce Blakeman must never be Governor of New York.”.
