Bam Margera shuts door on any reunion with Knoxville

Bam Margera’s stance is not subtle, and it’s not timed for a comeback season.

In an interview with Rolling Stone published on July 3. the “Viva La Bam” star said any reunion with former “Jackass” co-star Johnny Knoxville—or with director Jeff Tremaine—is “not going to happen. not in 10 million years.” Margera. 46. framed it as a personal boundary rather than a negotiation about the franchise. adding that he has no desire to see either man again.

“I’ll definitely check out the movie, and I hope it’s good,” he told the outlet. “But as far as a reunion, it’s not going to happen, not in 10 million years.”

Margera said he doesn’t carry “bad blood” with the broader “Jackass” cast. while still making clear who he blames for the break that ended his run with the series. “It’s just the decisions that Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine decided to make. I never want to see them ever again in my life. Enough is enough.”.

Tremaine returned to direct “Jackass: Best and Last,” which was released in theaters on June 26. Knoxville returned as a star of the film alongside Rachel Wolfson, Stephen Glover, Jason Acuña, Poopies and more.

Margera is present in the new movie, but only in archival footage. He approved the use of that material after declining to come back to shoot new scenes. In the same Rolling Stone interview, Margera’s position on returning was already set: he wasn’t ready to participate in fresh filming.

“Through a third party, we invited him to be a part of the film but he wasn’t ready, and we accept that and respect that.”

The decision not to reunite comes after years of escalating conflict around his departure from the franchise. Margera was fired from the fourth “Jackass” installment, 2022’s “Jackass Forever,” after he was accused of violating the terms of a wellness agreement he signed with the production.

He sued, claiming he failed a drug test because he was taking prescription Adderall to treat attention deficit disorder. He later dropped the lawsuit.

In 2021, Margera was accused of sending death threats to Tremaine and his family, which led to a judge granting the filmmaker a restraining order against Margera. At the time, Tremaine said he was “in great fear for my and my family’s personal safety.”

Margera has also described how the entire ordeal has affected him personally. In a January interview with TMZ, he said, “I have a lot of PTSD from it all. I’m just too hurt by it, and I already accepted the fact that I don’t want anything to do with it anymore.”

The franchise timeline helps explain why this latest rejection feels less like a headline and more like a culmination. Margera’s original “Jackass” involvement dates back to the MTV show in 2000. and he later appeared in the first three movies before his 2022 firing. “Jackass: Best and Last” moves forward with Tremaine directing and Knoxville starring. while Margera’s role remains confined to archival footage he approved.

Even as he plans to watch the new film—saying “I’ll definitely check out the movie, and I hope it’s good”—his message is that the door for new chapter collaboration is permanently closed. For Margera, the reunion he won’t do isn’t about access to a set; it’s about the people he says he’s done with.
