ASUS unveils 2.9-pound ExpertBook B5 Flip G2

ASUS ExpertBook – At Computex, ASUS introduced the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2, a 360 convertible Windows laptop that weighs 2.9 pounds and ships in Q3 2026. The lineup also includes three Zenbook 14 models with different processors and Windows 11 variants, plus rugged ExpertBook P5

When you’re packing a laptop for work every day. weight stops being a spec and starts being a decision you make—often without thinking. ASUS clearly built that into its latest Computex announcements. starting with the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2: a 360-degree convertible Windows laptop that tips the scale at just 2.9 pounds and arrives in Q3 2026.

The ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 is designed to shift between laptop, tablet, tent, and display modes. It includes dual cameras and an MPP 2.0 stylus that comes with a built-in “garage” for storage and charging. ASUS says 15 seconds of charging gives users 60 minutes of use. Power comes from Intel’s latest Core 7 350 processor with an 18 TOPS NPU and integrated graphics. paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. ASUS also promises all-day battery life with rapid charging.

Connectivity is aimed at business-ready versatility: two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one HDMI 2.1, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and an audio combo jack. Pricing wasn’t provided at launch time, with the price to be revealed later.

That lighter-work push sits alongside a broader ASUS Windows refresh at Computex, including new ExpertBook convertible and business models, plus Zenbook and Vivobook devices powered by different chip platforms.

Zenbook 14 gets three processor paths—and two ways to run Windows 11. The UX3480QA is the Windows 11 Arm64 model. It uses a Snapdragon X X1 26 100 processor with 8 cores and 8 threads, paired with a 45 TOPS Qualcomm Hexagon NPU. The display is a 1,920 x 1,200 OLED panel in a 16:10 format with a 60Hz refresh rate. It supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 storage. ASUS says this will be the lightest option at 2.43 pounds, largely because it needs a smaller battery.

The other two Zenbook 14 models—UX3480AA and UX3480GA—run on Intel and AMD chips, respectively. The UX3480GA carries an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 12-core processor rated at 60 TOPS. along with AMD Radeon Graphics. up to 24GB of memory. and 512GB of PCIe 4.0 storage. Its display is also a 1,920 x 1,200 OLED panel, with a 60Hz refresh rate. The UX3480AA uses up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 386H with 16 cores. plus a 50 TOPS NPU. up to 24GB of memory. and 512GB of PCIe 4.0 storage. The top configuration there features a 2,880 x 1,800 120Hz OLED display. Both models weigh up to 2.65 pounds and share a similar ports lineup: a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port. USB-C Gen2. USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A. HDMI 2.1 TMDS. and an audio combo port. ASUS says pricing and availability for all three Zenbook 14 models will be announced at a later date.

For users who want something that’s meant to survive real-world handling. ASUS also introduced the ExpertBook P5 G2 and PM5 G2. They come in 14- and 16-inch sizes and are powered by either an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 356H chip (for the P5 G2) or an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX processor with up to 55 NPU TOPS neural acceleration (for the PM5 G2). ASUS says these models meet mil-spec standards under MIL-STD-810H for exposure to vibration, moisture, and high temperatures. The weight is listed at 3.04 pounds. The ExpertBook P5 G2 and PM5 G2 arrive later this quarter, with pricing to be revealed at that time.

Rounding out the lineup are two ASUS Vivobook Flip models—Vivobook S14 Flip and Vivobook S16 Flip—both 360 convertibles. They share the same laptop, tablet, tent, and stand configurations, with a 2K OLED touchscreen and ASUS Pen 3.0 support. These are Windows 11 Arm64 models powered by Snapdragon X processors with up to 45 TOPS NPU performance. ASUS says battery life exceeds 20 hours, and that fast charging supports up to 68 watts via USB-C.

Put together, the announcements show ASUS leaning into two competing priorities at once: shedding weight for daily carrying and adding enough compute flexibility to cover everything from Arm64 to Intel and AMD—without forcing buyers to settle on one kind of use case.

  1. 2.9 pounds for a laptop is nice but why do they always keep pushing new models like anyone asked in 2026 😂

  2. “15 seconds of charging gives 60 minutes” sounds fake or like a typo? I’m not believing that til someone actually tests it. Also MPP 2.0 stylus with a garage?? never seen that before lol

  3. So wait the “ExpertBook B5 Flip G2” weighs 2.9 pounds but it has all those ports including Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1… That’s cool but I don’t get how it’s not gonna overheat. My old laptop already melts in the summer

  4. I saw somewhere it’s shipping in Q3 2026 and I’m like… yeah in 2026 everybody will be using something else anyway. Also Core 7 with 18 TOPS NPU?? sounds like they’re just making numbers up to distract from the price not being listed. Guess I’ll wait for the “real” version
