Archie wears – Meghan Markle shared a Father’s Day Instagram photo of Prince Archie, 7, in an England soccer shirt—an early sign of the family’s upcoming U.K. visit where Archie and Princess Lilibet may reunite with Prince Harry’s homeland after years apart.

Prince Archie leaned into the moment like a kid who knew exactly what day it was.

On Father’s Day. Meghan Markle posted a snapshot to Instagram showing Archie. 7. and his sister. Princess Lilibet. wrapped around their dad. Prince Harry. The image was shared as a tribute to the family’s “one and only. ” with Meghan captioning the post. “They’re so lucky to have you. We all are. Happy Father’s Day to our one and only.”.

Archie’s outfit stole the frame. He wore a red, white and blue top with “England FFA World Cup” printed on the back—an unmistakable nod to the home country he’s due to return to next month.

That timing matters. Meghan and Harry plan to bring Archie and Lilibet to the U.K. for an Invictus Games event. a trip that will mark the first time the foursome have been together in Britain since Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. Meghan also traveled with Harry to the U.K. for the late monarch’s funeral in September 2022.

The Father’s Day post arrives with other details hanging over the trip. The visit comes amid ongoing uncertainty about where the family will stay while they’re in England. King Charles III is reportedly offering accommodations to the couple and their two kids as an olive branch. while another claim describes a brief tea between Harry and the king at Clarence House in 2025.

“He obviously saw his father in September, they speak regularly,” a source claimed of Harry and His Majesty’s connection following that meeting. The same insider added there was “a hope they will both be able to find time in their schedules to catch up when Harry is in the U.K.”

But there’s also a worry that time may not be on their side—especially for Archie and Lilibet. After Harry and Meghan left The Firm in 2020, the relationship with Charles reportedly became strained. That backdrop feeds the concern that the family’s U.K. window could be too tight.

“Still, he does worry that it’s all going to move too slowly and that Lily and Archie will never know their grandad,” an insider alleged.

Even the practical side of the trip is tied to what happens next, and how quickly. When Harry and Meghan left England, their government-funded security was taken away. The father of two appealed, but the case was denied in May 2025. The British government then opted to revisit the matter later that year.

A source described the current protective security system as “rigorous and proportionate,” and stressed the U.K. government’s policy of not providing detailed information about those arrangements, saying that sharing such specifics could “compromise their integrity and affect individuals’ security.”

At the same time, another claim said there is “a plan for Harry to be granted some protections while he is in the U.K. on this coming trip,” described as “a good sign.”

For now. Meghan’s photo is all about family closeness—two children wrapped around their dad. celebrating him on the one day they’re meant to spotlight. Next month, the England shirt won’t just be a playful tribute. It will be a quiet lead-in to the bigger question hanging over the trip: whether Harry. Archie. and Lilibet can make up for time. safely and in real moments. with the people waiting for them in Britain.
