Andrew Cuts Staff After Norfolk Move, Safety Concerns Rise

Andrew cuts – Former Prince Andrew has cut his household staff after relocating to Marsh Farm in Norfolk, according to biographer Andrew Lownie. The change comes amid fresh concerns following a reported masked-man confrontation while Andrew walked his pets.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Norfolk routine is changing fast, and the former Duke of York is reportedly doing it with far fewer people around him.

Royal biographer Andrew Lownie says Andrew downsized his staff after moving to Marsh Farm in Norfolk, telling GB News that he now relies on “just a housekeeper, a cook and general aide,” along with “a team of police protection officers.”

Lownie adds that, beyond that core support, the only regular “company” he has are “two corgis that had once belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II and several Norfolk terriers.”

The staffing shift lands against a backdrop of personal safety worries. The update follows reports that Andrew was accosted by a masked man while walking his pets near his home.

An official told Fox News Digital that “Alex Jenkinson, aged 39 and of Stowmarket, Suffolk, has since been charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior to harass someone or cause alarm or distress and failing to provide a specimen of blood in custody.”

Journalist Helena Chard, also speaking to Fox News Digital, said the incident left him “shaken and worried for his safety.” Chard added, “There are rumors he wants his old security back, although he was unscathed,” and that “His private protection officer dealt with the confrontation and aftermath.”

Other claims have swirled around who is covering Andrew’s “exile” at Marsh Farm.. Chard reported that “King Charles III is understood to be funding Andrew’s ‘exile’ at Marsh Farm. including former royal protection cops. ” and she said they “are not armed. ” with “allegedly some” staying “in a cabin in the back garden.”

Broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner also alleged Andrew was with a protection officer during the incident.. Turner told the outlet that every citizen “should feel safe and protected. especially highly well-known figures. ” and argued Andrew should be granted more protection—saying otherwise “more attempts could be made on his life. ” causing “distress and disarray within the royal family.”

The renewed focus on security comes after Andrew, 66, was stripped of his titles and evicted from Royal Lodge in 2025 over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
