Alix Earle Breaks Down After Seeing Braxton

Alix Earle got emotional after running into her ex, Braxton Berrios, during a night out—telling fans in a May 25 TikTok that the brief reunion turned into an emotional wave, even as she says they’re on good terms.
Alix Earle didn’t expect her night out to land quite like it did.
In a “UNGRWM” TikTok posted Monday. May 25. the influencer opened up about bumping into her ex. Braxton Berrios. the night before—an encounter she initially described as “normal and fine” before it quickly became something harder to hold in. Earle, 25, said her “eyes are a tad bit puffy” from crying, calling it “Crymaxxing.”.
She explained that she and Berrios were joking around with each other after seeing him. “Obviously, I saw my ex tonight, but we’re on good terms, so it was normal and fine and we were joking around with each other,” Earle said.
But the moment kept slipping from playful to painful. She described catching herself scanning the room all night, wondering where he was. “It was funny and fun, and then it wasn’t,” Earle continued. “It kept turning into me looking around the place the whole night like. ‘Hmm. where is he?’ I think that really sucked. catching myself doing that.”.
For Earle. the tension wasn’t about any drama between them—it was what the second someone disappears after a brief flash of familiarity can do to a person. “I think that’s hard when you see someone for a second and it’s like fun and normal. but that’s just a dose of it. and then that’s done. That started to hit me,” she said.
She also admitted that seeing Berrios, 30, left her emotional while she tried to keep it together. “Sometimes you just can’t help it,” Earle said. “Sometimes you’re just a girl and sometimes water just falls out of your eyes. Sometimes that happens and that’s OK.”
When the tears came, she said she did the “responsible thing” and called a car home and cried to her dog.
The run-in came amid a broader timeline fans have followed closely since news of their split broke. Us Weekly reported in December 2025 that Earle and the Houston Texans wide receiver had ended their nearly two years together. Earle later confirmed the breakup in an emotional TikTok video. telling fans. “Braxton and I are no longer together.” She added. “We have been doing long distance since. basically. June and we haven’t got to see each other that often. It’s just been really difficult for me.”.
In that same period. Earle said she was considering a permanent move to Los Angeles after living there while competing on Dancing With the Stars. while Berrios lives in Houston. She described the realization of the distance as scary. and said she felt pressured by what she couldn’t consistently provide. “I think that was a scary thing for me to realize because it meant us not being in the same place. A part of me also really wants to be focusing on myself right now,” she said. “I just feel like I can’t be what Braxton needs.”.
She said she wanted to be there in the way he needed, but couldn’t—specifically mentioning the expectation of being available “24/7.” “I want him to have someone who can be there for him 24/7 and support him. He wasn’t really expecting that of me … I constantly felt guilty,” Earle said.
By the time she summed up where they stood, the story she told her fans was clear: they’re still connected as friends, even if the relationship didn’t work. “It just kinda feels like we’re on two different paths right now and it sucks,” she said, describing Berrios as her “best friend.”
Earle added that they remain on good terms and asked that no one come for him. “We’re on good terms and I don’t want anyone to come for him or be mean to him.”
What she wanted most, she said, was to trust her feelings—without turning the breakup into something it wasn’t. “I think I ultimately just wanted to go with trusting my feelings,” Earle said. “This has just been really hard. … It’s not drama. It’s not because he did anything wrong or I did anything wrong. It just didn’t really feel like it was working out, in the moment.”.
